Great rice noodle rolls! I appreciate the variety. The standard options (pork, shrimp, beef, chinese donuts) are well executed, & the extra choices are quite tasty (duck, beef stew for example).
The HK milk tea could be hotter but is otherwise we'll executed. The congee is good!
Edit 2026: Quality has kept up & the new dim sum menu is a nice addition.
At Yin Ji, You can get some traditional, non conventional plates, as if you where in China, Guangdong province.
Yin Ji's offers is also influenced by Hong Kong blend of flavors. So it's traditional plates have modernity of the 20th century, but still very authentic.
Drinks, especially with milk are all on the modern & Hongkong side which are refreshing.
Yin Ji's specialties are noodle rolls & congee. But you can have some Dim Sum plates, but also some other Cantonese specialties.
Orders are done thru smartphone, so bringing one with you is a good idea.
The dishes are fresh, mostly delicate, but tasty & authentic. The service is nice & fast, like 5 to 10 minutes between plates rotation.
If you want to explore new dishes through Cantonese culture, Yin Ji offers some specific dishes impossible to find at other Chinese restaurants in the whole Québec province.
All in all it's a great place, authentic & exotic flavors with pricing on the wallet friendly side.
It's definitely one of the place to put in your list if you want to explore more classic or authentic dishes without taking an airplane ticket to China.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, cozy & comfortable, not too busy, & impeccable service.
Ordered a braised beef noodle soup, the beef was spot on. Not too fat, not overcooked, tender & easy to mince. Definitely try it with the homemade chili oil. The oil ingredients are very generous, making it very savory without losing that extra punch.
One side of rice noodle with beef, shrimps & chive, the paste was slightly overcooked, losing it's smooth & silky texture.
For drink, a hk style coffee milk tea; not as silky as it should be, but the flavor is there.
Overall, very good experience & enjoyed very much the dinner. Keep up the great work.
Definitely the best congee in town! I ordered the combo for 1 person: Laiwan assorted congee, beef with chives rice noodle roll & a glass of Hong Kong style iced milk tea. I was very hangry after being stuck in traffic on the Champlain Bridge during the Friday rush hour. I decided to give this place a try for the first time & oh boy, it ain't gonna be the last time that I will be coming here for some comforting food 😋 Even the shrimp rolls that I ordered for take out were equally amazing!
This is the restaurant my husband & I always go to it feels like our little love spot. The dishes are light, flavorful, & comforting. I especially love the fish congee, seafood congee, Hong Kong style fish balls, & their delicious dim sum dishes like har gow (shrimp dumplings) & rice rolls with shrimp & pork everything here is truly tasty & reasonably priced.
They also serve fragrant Hong Kong milk tea, which I really enjoy. We used to visit their downtown location, but even now that they've moved farther away, we still make the trip to support them it's our go to place.
A hot bowl of fish congee warms not just the body, but the soul something we Asians truly appreciate, especially during the cold season. There's nothing better than a steaming bowl of comfort on a chilly day.
The place is quite new! It opens at 9 am, & they offer an early bird breakfast special before 11 am, a bowl of congee, a piece of fried dough, & a cup of milk tea for just $10. It's a great way to start the day & gives me energy for everything ahead.
Came here for lunch on a Sunday. It was busy but no wait line. You have to scan the QR code to order. The food came out quite fast. Everything was tasty & delicious. I really liked the Thai chicken feet, the fried wontons, the egg custard buns & the Hong Kong milk tea. The place lacks aeration so it gets quite hot. Foodwise, I think it is great & would definitely come back.
The coffee & milk tea are too thick & too milky. I could hard taste the coffee. The porridge is very thick & not much taste. The cheng fen is ok but the sauce needs more flavour.
