At Yin Ji, You can get some traditional, non conventional plates, as if you where in China, Guangdong province.
Yin Ji's offers is also influenced by Hong Kong blend of flavors. So it's traditional plates have modernity of the 20th century, but still very authentic.
Drinks, especially with milk are all on the modern & Hongkong side which are refreshing.
Yin Ji's specialties are noodle rolls & congee. But you can have some Dim Sum plates, but also some other Cantonese specialties.
Orders are done thru smartphone, so bringing one with you is a good idea.
The dishes are fresh, mostly delicate, but tasty & authentic. The service is nice & fast, like 5 to 10 minutes between plates rotation.
If you want to explore new dishes through Cantonese culture, Yin Ji offers some specific dishes impossible to find at other Chinese restaurants in the whole Québec province.
All in all it's a great place, authentic & exotic flavors with pricing on the wallet friendly side.
It's definitely one of the place to put in your list if you want to explore more classic or authentic dishes without taking an airplane ticket to China.

If you have a party larger than two, prepare to wait long enough to reconsider your life choices. Once inside this shoebox, we were treated to dim sum-minus the charm of the carts & plus a surprise 15% Family tax.
The rice noodles were so plain I thought I'd lost my sense of taste, & the beef in the noodles was a fatty adventure I didn't ask for. The fish balls were average.
Thank goodness for the custard buns, which were actually delicious. They were almost-good enough to make me forget I was being charged a mandatory tip
The rice noodle rolls were as authentic as I remember them from a trip to Hong Kong. The rice porridge was also delicious. The black & gold bao bun is unique & an absolute must-try, & the sesame dessert brought back wonderful nostalgia.
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, cozy & comfortable, not too busy, & impeccable service.
Ordered a braised beef noodle soup, the beef was spot on. Not too fat, not overcooked, tender & easy to mince. Definitely try it with the homemade chili oil. The oil ingredients are very generous, making it very savory without losing that extra punch.
One side of rice noodle with beef, shrimps & chive, the paste was slightly overcooked, losing it's smooth & silky texture.
For drink, a hk style coffee milk tea; not as silky as it should be, but the flavor is there.
Overall, very good experience & enjoyed very much the dinner. Keep up the great work.
If you come before 11am, prices are cheaper. The combos are 9.95$ for a congee, side & drink. The rice noodles were delicious & the congee was solid. Really enjoyed the shrimp rice roll & beef truffle one. Will come again for their early specials.
Definitely the best congee in town! I ordered the combo for 1 person: Laiwan assorted congee, beef with chives rice noodle roll & a glass of Hong Kong style iced milk tea. I was very hangry after being stuck in traffic on the Champlain Bridge during the Friday rush hour. I decided to give this place a try for the first time & oh boy, it ain't gonna be the last time that I will be coming here for some comforting food 😋 Even the shrimp rolls that I ordered for take out were equally amazing!
Great spot for some rice noodle rolls! We had BBQ pork, as well as shrimp & beef rice noodle rolls & they were both great! The fried dough stick, shrimp spring roll, sticky rice, & fried noodles were all very good. Congee was ok, but not the best from others we've had. Service was impeccable! We got greeted & seated upon arrival, though others walking in after us waited 5-10 minutes as the restaurant was full. All the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything, food arrived quickly even if the restaurant was full, they refilled water before our bottle was empty. The restaurant & washrooms were very clean. The only thing is the choice is limited for dim sum selections compared to other dim sum places.
If you're craving dim sum at any time of day, this place is a must-visit! It's a rare gem that serves all-day dim sum, which makes it perfect for those dim sum cravings outside the usual dim sum eating times of morning to early afternoon. The staff is friendly & attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The menu features all your classic dim sum favorites, including shumai, ha gow, rice noodle rolls, chicken feet, & more! But my personal favorite has to be the BBQ pork buns-perfectly fluffy with that sweet, savory filling. Whether you're a dim sum connoisseur or a newcomer, this spot is sure to satisfy!
I like their food very much. This is the location you must try & then you will love it. Very traditional style rice noodles pair nicely with congee. Everything we order are so delicious & great quality & plenty.
The service is great & very friendly. The young gentleman server is very knowledgeable & helpful.
To be honest I don't understand the hype of YinJi. The taste of the the rice rolls & congee is ordinary. Taste is bland, I can make better congee at home with a slow cooker. The shrimps are the small low quality ones, the beef brisket is way too salty with the sauce. They don't use quality ingredients, & the portions are too small for the price that they are charging. The dim sum items & the deep fried dough are not made in house. If I am craving for dim sum I would go to a proper dim sum restaurant. Over $8 for one small rice noodles dish, congee> $ 13/ bowl. I can go to a AYCE lunch for that price. Will not be returning
Is about time Brossard got a good rice noodle roll (chang fen) dive with a wide selection. No offense to the rice roll counter in Place Portobello's food court. That place will always have the OG title for handmade rice noodle roll in Brossard. Respect. Yin Ji Chang Fen serves freshly made (per order, it seems) rice rolls. & that is what you want! You want hot & bouncy jiggle jiggle texture. Great batter. We tried shrimp, shrimp & beef, fish, etc rice roll. All good. Layers of thin rice sheets & savoury yummy generous fillings. Our fav was the HK beef brisket roll & HK plain roll with peanut+sweet sauce. Congee was pipping HOT. Amazing for dipping your fritter. Generous with its garnish & filling. The way it should be. I ain't paying for wet rice krispy & water. Amazing lan wai congee & great preserved egg & pork (big pieces of preserved egg!). Personally, kidney-liver-pork congee will always be a top choice, anywhere. If someone can make a beauty out of offals. They got skills. Their fritters are really good. Hot, crispy & just enough oily (not finger stained oily but hmmmm taste good deep fried). Service is rapid & efficient. We ordered on our phones using the QR code & unlike other places where it is complicated & slower than using the waiter, this place makes ordering via QR worth it. We went at 11h before the lunch rush & food came out within minutes of our order.
