My wife & I enjoyed a wonderful meal on the patio. We had some of the best service we've ever had. Excellent wine pairings were suggested & happily received. It can be hard to live up to the hype but we definitely enjoyed ourselves & all the lovely food.
On a beautiful sunny day you might be able to snag a spot without a reservation. The menu changes all the time so I don't think I can recommend anything, but if the scallop-toast-thing 😅 is on the menu please don't hesitate.Voir plus

Excellent experience here. Highly recommended to visit while in Montréal. Delicious meal, well crafted cocktails & amazing staff provide guests with a memorable meal.Voir plus
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for so long, even more since they were ranked #1 out of 100 restaurants in Canada! Reservations are difficult to get, one has to be ready when the times are released, exactly 30 days before, at 5pm. Needless to say that my expectations were high.
In the end, I was disappointed. The food itself was just good, nothing exceptional. We even tried the popular options such as the scallop sandwich ('croque-pétoncle'), & the buckwheat cake, without being impressed. The pork had a lot of fat, & was served with even more cubed fat. The sweetbread ('ris de veau') which is already rich, was paired with even more richness from the lettuce vinaigrette. It could have benefited from some contrasting flavors & textures instead. The cocktail'Genziana' was weirdly bitter & herby. The Savouré blackcurrant juice was good, but we had to ask for non-alcoholic options as it was not listed on the menu?
The daily printed menu is only in French, which the servers then recite in English. The table next to us had difficulty understanding, & they ordered'veal', not expecting sweetbreads ('ris de veau'). The tables around us were all English speaking tourists. Wouldn't it just be easier to print the menu in English too?
Service was very attentive, to the point of being overbearing. Plates were whisked away as soon as they were finished, servers came to wipe the table between each dish, we were asked multiple times about the food, etc. They asked if it was for a special event, to which we said job promotion. They then proceeded to bring the dessert with a lit candle & wished us happy birthday…
In the end, our main deception was with the food itself, which failed to impress. The ingredients pairing in each dish was lacking. In comparison, we much preferred other restaurants like Monarque or Europea.Voir plus
We had high hopes for Mon Lapin given reviews & hype online. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow tonight evidenced by waiting fifty minutes for soughdough bread for example. Other covers who arrived significantly later than us received bread & starters earlier which only added salt into the wound. To further disappointment, one of our main courses arrived cold & was thus sent back to the kitchen. The rectified dish then arrived when the rest of the table were finishing up their own mains. Some positives were the gnudi was delicious & the front of house team were apologetic (& as a gesture of good will amended the cheque to reflect certain disappointments tonight). In light of our experience amidst the sea of positive reviews from others, perhaps this was an anomaly from the restaurant.Voir plus
An absolutely incredible dinner, the best I had on my visit to Montreal, & the best I've had for some time.
The food & wine were stellar as expected, but what truly impressed me was the warm & attentive service, particularly from Guillaume, who went out of his way to make our night special. However, the overall vibe of everyone was fantastic-from the host table to the runners.
I can't wait to go back, & recommend that anyone visiting the city should prioritize coming in.Voir plus
WOW what a wonderful experience! The meal was fantastic & the staff were awesome. Every one of our selections were prepared perfectly. The wine was paired to our meal with the staffs guidance & really topped of the whole evening.Voir plus
Definitely worth the hype! Food, service, experience was perfect. Amazing wine. Casual & comfortable vibe with high end food. Would recommend trusting your server to give you a great experience. We'll be back for sure!Voir plus
A Culinary Gem: An Unforgettable Evening at Vin Mon Lapin
Dining at Vin Mon Lapin is not just a meal - it's an artful experience that engages every sense. Each dish is crafted with precision, creativity, & a deep understanding of flavor balance. Our evening was nothing short of spectacular.
Mon Lapin is a place where each dish tells a story, where the plating is as inspired as the flavors, & where passion is palpable in every course. An absolute must-visit for any lover of refined, imaginative cuisine.
The atmosphere is warm, the service is thoughtful, & the food is next-level. If you're into seasonal, inventive cuisine, Mon Lapin is a must-visit.

Absolutely adored our experience here. Dimitri served us at the bartop & we let him pick everything for us. Cocktails, appetizers & dessert. Wish I had gone with more than 1 other person so I could have ordered/tried more dishes on the menu!
It's worth making a reservation & was one of our favourite dining experiences while in Montreal.
On va y retourner bientôt.
everything was good but no dish rly stood out that much for me :(Voir plus
Amazing service & food in a decontracted setting. We particularly enjoyed the warm buttery oysters & lobster spaghetti. Great wine selection. Service was amazing & attentive.Voir plus
Voted Canada best restaurant for a reason. The chef has prepared some incredible dishes. So simple yet so flavourful. They are very unique yet delicious. The service here was also second to none. Very kind & friendly staff. Presentation was on point. Must have in Montreal!Voir plus
We loved everything!! No misses. Menu items cycle in & out but I can totally understand why the scallop sandwich & buckwheat cake have held their spot for this long. My one regret was not specifying that my husband has back problems so we would have preferred regular seating rather than the bar but he endured because we had such a good time. We'll be back!Voir plus
A wonderful experience in a quaint restaurant. The food was simply delicious (I'm still dreaming about their scallops sandwich, it was like eating a cloud) & they helped me paired my many plates with fun & unexpected wines.
Service was impeccable & I cannot wait to go back.Voir plus
Okay I must admit that it is difficult to rate the place which is considered the best restaurant in the country without bias.
Is it the best restaurant in Canada/Montreal? I don't know, but this is definitely the amazing one.
Almost everything we tried was incredible - sea urchins, snow crab, scallops toast & buckwheat cake ( spinach was okay though ).
Nice atmosphere & service, nothing to complain. Definitely would recommend.Voir plus
