Probably not surprising one of the single best meals I've had in a decade. Obviously the food / champagne & service were superb but what truly struck me was the PACING. They would bring us a course & then just leave us alone to talk. We were probably there for 3 hours. A truly special experience I will not forget.
Soirée mémorable sur la terrasse, c'était délicieux & le service de Camille était vraiment excellent!
We went in with high expectations, especially after an amazing meal at Manu Cornuto the night before, but left disappointed. Service was genuinely great, warm, attentive, & welcoming the whole night. The food, though, just didn't work for us. We chose the tasting menu. The scallop cake was a real standout & the buckwheat cake was okay, but most of the other plates felt like the kitchen was chasing novelty over flavor?? pairings that seemed clever on paper but didn't actually come together on the plate. A few dishes were just too salty, others combined ingredients that felt more experimental than delicious. We also got seated really close to other tables, which made the room feel so cramped .. Given its No. 2 ranking on Canada's 100 Best list, we expected the food to feel more thoughtfully composed, not just inventive for the sake of it. Great hospitality, but the cooking itself didn't land for us.
I read this five for everything because the environment was so chill, but the food was amazing & heartfelt. I really like the service & there was never an empty glass of water or from my parents why our server was super nice & helped us pick a drink for every single course & describe it so well in English I actually got you in American even though she was French. It was a really nice restaurant & they had at least one dish for every kind of person & that's why I really loved this restaurant. Also, the chocolate ice cream sandwich was so good
Best food, wine, service, & atmosphere of any dinner we've had in our lives. Merci
Overall, I recommend this place if you're looking for a pleasant atmosphere & don't have high expectations for the food or the staff's attention. A solid B+!
Mon Lapin was the highlight of our trip! Fiona gave us the best service we've ever experienced. She was so warm, kind, & welcoming to our child, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived.
Her wine pairings were absolutely outstanding & perfectly complemented every dish. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was beautiful, & every detail made for such a memorable evening.
This was easily one of the best dining experiences we've ever had, & it truly made our trip. We can't wait to come back!
I was so excited to try Mon Lapin, unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype for me. The service was outstanding, the wine was fantastic, the food fell short for the hype. Also it's a very packed restaurant & unfortunately we were sat twice next to people wearing strong perfume/ cologne & it ruined our experience. Not the fault of Mon Lapin, but be ready to be sitting very close to your neighbours.
Overrated. No idea how this got to be the number 2 restaurant in Canada. Food was either bland or weird. Had the leeks & the scallop toast. The scallop toast was this off texture similar to a marshmallow. Leeks tasted like nothing. & the dessert, the buckwheat cake, was perhaps the oddest & most unpleasant dessert I have had in awhile. The duck & pork were nice
