We went a Thursday afternoon, the place was half full & they took more than 90 minutes to get our food. We were starving. & the ambiance, music was loud or a bad sound system because a bit difficult to hear your friends if you are more than four in a table.
Confused service to the point we had planned to dine, but had a drink & an appetizer & left. It was too late to cancel the order, but it was painful. Appetizer (octopus) was over cooked to top it off.
Un lieu parfait pour manger avec des amis & la famille. Le personnel est très accueillant & l'ambiance est chaleureuse! Expérience culinaire impeccable, le mac&cheese était trop bon. Je recommande vivement ce bistro! J'y retournerai sûrement.
One of the best bistro's in the town! Right from their food to service & atmosphere, everything was spot on! Lovely service by the entire staff & thanks Romain for the suggestions & help :) A must visit place for a surreal dining experience. Do try out the Vallier burger!

The ambiance of this restaurant is simply fantastic! The cozy atmosphere, soft lighting, & elegant decor create the perfect setting for any special occasion. From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! Highly recommended

We dropped by for light fare after touring the city. The waitstaff was courteous & efficient. Our drinks were tasty & the meat plate was exceptionally good.
Seulement 2 options végétariennes sur le menu & le burger végétarien est TRÈS ordinaire (pire qu'une option moyenne à l'épicerie). À 25$ le burger j'aurais pensé qu'ils font un petit effort, mais non.
Very good restaurant in downtown Montreal. Has a simple & nice menu that won't shock anyone but is well prepared & tasty. It can be a little noisy if you're trying to talk to colleagues, but that's expected in a noisy restaurant.

Une merveille ce midi chez Bistro Vallier, Magnifique repas : soupe au chou comme maman , truite moelleuse sur un risotto de légumes primeurs & pour un peu de sucre , le pudding chômeur décadent. Merci à toute l'équipe & à Victoire pour son accueil chaleureux & sa gentillesse À bientôt
Stopped here for pre dinner drinks. Sat at the bar & enjoyed chatting with the bartender as he created his works for art. The place was cozy, casual & perfect.
Stopped by for lunch with my daughter. I asked for a glass of Bordeaux (my wine was refrigerated 🧐🥴)my daughter got lemonade (apparently it was a canned fizzy one). The place was pretty much empty at 2:30 in the afternoon (now I know why) there was only one ☝️ person at the bar. My daughter asked for the steak med-rare & fries, I requested the beef burger med-rare. The food arrived, I cut my burger in half, it was gray, no sight of pink. The waiter became very defensive when I said I'd rather not eat that. This was the ONLY time I refused to eat food that was not to my liking, I mean for $26/burger I expect it to at least be cooked to my liking, we're not going to talk about the size, that's another story. I have to say it looked pleasing to the eye, the fries not so much, they were soft & dark in color, but that obviously has a lot to do with the kind of oil they use & the fact they don't double fry them also the oil temp. So the waiter lost the "battle" with me & called the manager who also was very defensive & swore the burger is great. I said I was not told about the laws of serving med-rare burger which apparently was not possible in Canada, however, it was a mistake on their part because it was obvious we weren't Canadians & if I asked for med-rare I should've been told that it was not possible. So long story short I refused the burger na by that time my daughter had already finished her steak & barely touched the fries, so I asked for the check 60$ Canadian dollars & some change. I left an 18% tip which turned out 70+$ because that's just me, but it was ridiculously overpriced & not up to par the day the least. Service is below average. Food=not good (I'm being nice!) Managment; should dress presentable at least. For a place that looks somewhat upscale you should dress more tastefully. Would not recommend! So many great places around!
