This place was great I just remember trying that risotto & thinking gooooweeeeee. I normally don't like risotto but this one was really fantastic. Salmon tartare is good but nothing I've never tasted.

The owner is such an amazing person + he let us bring our dog inside of the restaurant. Core memory for our entire family. The rib steak was so tender & juicy, & with the truffle fries, it made it the perfect bistro dinner.

Venu en groupe de 14 a 12h. On commande a 12h10. 13h20 toujours rien de servis. Des gens s'assoient autour de nous bien après notre arrivé & on le temps d'être servis & de finir leur repas. Pas de communication ni d'excuse du personnel. On ira autre part la prochaine fois. Il y a assez de choix dans le coin.

Vallier Bistro is one of those Montréal spots that doesn't need to shout to make an impression. The room has that effortlessly cool downtown feeling, the service is warm & genuinely welcoming, & the food has personality.

The inspiration is rooted in French cuisine, with Québec & Montréal flavours woven throughout - classic enough to feel familiar, but with enough local character to keep things interesting.

What I loved is that the meal never felt like it was trying to be'fancy' for the sake of being fancy. It was thoughtful, comforting, & full of flavour. You can taste the French influence, but there's a distinctly Québec feeling underneath it all.

The atmosphere deserves a mention too: intimate, lively, & relaxed at the same time. It's the kind of restaurant where dinner can easily turn into a long evening because you don't feel like leaving.

Vallier feels less like a restaurant you visit & more like a little Montréal experience you get to sit down & eat.

A great choice for a date, a night out with friends, or simply when you want good food in a place with real character.

Il y a visiblement eu un changement dans la gestion de l'établissement, & cela se ressent autant dans la qualité de la nourriture que dans le service. Rien n'était particulièrement mauvais, mais rien ne se démarquait non plus. Les cocktails ont été servis rapidement au début, mais par la suite, l'attente entre les plats a été longue, malgré le fait que le restaurant était peu achalandé. Notre serveur était courtois & s'est excusé à plusieurs reprises pour la lenteur du service. C'était un endroit où nous aimions aller entre amis, mais malheureusement, l'expérience n'est plus à la hauteur de nos visites précédentes.
