About us
UMAMI RAMEN & IZAKAYA is the very first fully vegan ramen restaurant in Montreal.
Thanks to the import of a Japanese machine for making noodles, the establishment makes its own homemade noodles from organic wheat, in addition to making its broths, Tsukemono, kombucha and sprouts! The restaurant offers several varieties of ramen and small classics of Japanese Bistronomy in a vegan version. Whether we think of okonomiyaki, gyozas, Agedashi tofu or even tempeh Tonkatsu, Cédric and his team are happy to present to you every day, from starter to dessert, these revisited Japanese classics... just a few exclusives straight out of our kitchens. And who says Izayaka, of course, says refreshing beers, sumptuous wines, intoxicating cocktails, delicate sakes and other fine wine products. At Umami Ramen, we experience cruelty-free gastronomy at its best!

The three of us got the tasting menu, & it was incredible. Our server, seeing we were getting full, even offered to pack up our dessert course to go. Highly recommend checking out Umami. Cocktails are also delicious, so don't hesitate to try a few.

Tables un peu proches les unes des autres. Beaucoup de sollicitation de la part des serveurs/euses. Jamais Servi par la même personne mais ce n'est pas un problème. Il faisait très chaud, un peu de ventilation aurait été apprécié. Très bon service par ailleurs, excellent repas. Très belles présentations. Belles couleurs, bonnes portions. Je recommande.

We opted for the tasting menu & I am so glad that we did! The dishes complimented each other perfectly & the pacing of the plates coming out of the kitchen was just right. I was delighted by the creativity of flavour combinations & the pretty plating . Our group was FULL by the end of the night! I highly recommend eating here & I cannot wait to go back. The cocktails were delicious as well. Compliments to the kitchen & to the lovely waitstaff.

Chouette découverte. Endroit chaleureux convivial.. Nous étions 4 & avons pris le menu dégustation avec 5 services. Les plats étaient délicieux, étonnants & copieux. Plein de découvertes culinaires. Nous recommandons ce petit bijou de resto!
