UMAMI RAMEN & IZAKAYA is the very first fully vegan ramen restaurant in Montreal.

Thanks to the import of a Japanese machine for making noodles, the establishment makes its own homemade noodles from organic wheat, in addition to making its broths, Tsukemono, kombucha and sprouts! The restaurant offers several varieties of ramen and small classics of Japanese Bistronomy in a vegan version. Whether we think of okonomiyaki, gyozas, Agedashi tofu or even tempeh Tonkatsu, Cédric and his team are happy to present to you every day, from starter to dessert, these revisited Japanese classics... just a few exclusives straight out of our kitchens. And who says Izayaka, of course, says refreshing beers, sumptuous wines, intoxicating cocktails, delicate sakes and other fine wine products. At Umami Ramen, we experience cruelty-free gastronomy at its best!

We came late night just for some good ramen for the soul & they were super accommodating. We weren't siked for the vegan aspect of it but it actually turned out so delicious & flavorful. For close to closing time, the service was really really good, & although some reviews say it isnt, we did not have that experience & would definitely come back again!

Horrible service! We had to go out to find the servers on many occasions for simple things like water despite it being not busy at all. The okonomiyaki was really good but ramen was very mediocre & barely had any salt in it (esp in the curry ramen). We had really high hopes for this place but left disappointed, unfortunately!

Really enjoyed my brunch here, got the match pancakes - however one thing to note, I got a side of yuba & no where was it mentioned - I got through almost half of it but it was painful. If something is spicy it should be mentioned.

Quelle belle découverte sur la rue Clark. Nous avons passé un moment absolument délicieux dans ce restaurant.

La présentation des plats est superbe, surtout le bol garni d'un jaune d'oeuf parfait & de lamelles de truffe. Chaque bouchée était riche en saveurs & parfaitement équilibrée. C'est une adresse incontournable pour les amateurs de cuisine soignée. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.
