About us
UMAMI RAMEN & IZAKAYA is the very first fully vegan ramen restaurant in Montreal.
Thanks to the import of a Japanese machine for making noodles, the establishment makes its own homemade noodles from organic wheat, in addition to making its broths, Tsukemono, kombucha and sprouts! The restaurant offers several varieties of ramen and small classics of Japanese Bistronomy in a vegan version. Whether we think of okonomiyaki, gyozas, Agedashi tofu or even tempeh Tonkatsu, Cédric and his team are happy to present to you every day, from starter to dessert, these revisited Japanese classics... just a few exclusives straight out of our kitchens. And who says Izayaka, of course, says refreshing beers, sumptuous wines, intoxicating cocktails, delicate sakes and other fine wine products. At Umami Ramen, we experience cruelty-free gastronomy at its best!

Entrées & cocktails excellents, les bols de ramen un peu moins (goût un peu fade). Prochaine fois je prendrai le menu dégustation seulement!

J'ai adoré mon expérience au Umami, l'ambiance était chaleureuse avec un décor moderne. J'ai pris le menu dégustation & cetait une merveilleuse découverte gastronomique. J'ai hâte d'y retourner pour goûter a une de leur soupe Ramen !!

Food was delicious; unbelievably delicious! Service however was sloooooow. 1.5 hours for two servings of Gyoza & two bowls of ramen. Many ramen shops can provide the same in 15-20 minutes.

The ambiance was nice, the waistress was lovely & the food was fantastic! We loved our ramens, our bellies were full & happy!

Très belle decouverte que ce resto de ramen & de'tapas' japonais. La nourriture y est excellente, j'ai particulièrement adoré les gyoza avec leur sublime petite sauce. Notre serveuse Gaëlle était efficace & fort sympathique. Nous y retournerons assurément!
