What a wonderful experience. All plant based, cruelty free & zero compromise! Service was wonderful. We had several dishes & everything was so flavourful & authentic. You can taste the quality & attention that was put into every dish.

After living in Montreal for many years & tasting the same, boring, spicy, oily generic Indian food here, I think we have found what we are looking for in Tula. It is a really cute, intimate, peaceful restaurant on St. Laurent. The service was impeccable, with the owner himself going around to each table & took the time to explain each & every dish on the menu with a smile on his face! You can really sense the passion that he has for the restaurant & vegan/healthy food in general & that is greatly appreciated! The food itself was just what we wanted, very simple, no nonsense food that felt like we were dining at someone's home. We ordered the Asian Style Salad, Grandmother's Special Curry & Lasooni Palak Tofu & the Elaneer Payasam for dessert. The Grandmother's Special Curry with "chicken" & vegetables, is a must try & completely outshone the other dishes (the others were very tasty too!) It had amazing flavour with just the right amount of spice & not oily at all. The Elaneer Payasam was quite interesting, nothing quite like what we've had before. As a tamilian myself, I wouldn't say that it is a typical south indian payasam but nevertheless it was quite tasty! Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by how great the food is here & will definitely be back soon! We look forward to trying the family restaurants in Toronto as well!
Delicious, healthy, Indian food. Entire menu is plant based. The food was full of flavour, there were many options to choose from, & the staff was very helpful. Enjoyed every bite!
Non seulement la nourriture est excellente, les gens qui y travaillent sont exceptionnels. Ça se voit qu'ils tiennent à coeur ce qu'ils font. Peu importe les plats ou les desserts, le goût des aliments est présent & c'est bien équilibré.
Restaurant fantastique! Les plats sont délicieux sans être trop lourds sur l'estomac, avec beaucoup d'épices chaleureuses & faits avec des produits frais. Les boissons sont exquises aussi. Le masala chai & le sukku, tous deux parfaits pour se réchauffer lors d'une journée froide d'hiver. Le lieu est relaxant, tout comme les odeurs d'encens qui calment le corps & l'esprit. Le meilleur point de ce resto c'est surtout le service & ce à 200%. On s'est fait traité aux petits oignons, avec une description en profondeur du menu, des recommandations spécifiques & on a même eu une discussion très agréable avec un des propriétaires. Je recommande fortement TULA!

One of the best restaurants I have visited in the recent past. Enjoyed everything. Food was top notch. Value for money. Staff was well informed & knowledgeable. Love the pan asian menu.
Tula has the best Indian & Asian vegan food in North America. Just the right amount of spice, not at all greasy & flavors so tempting all in one. The service is very attentive & the owner is very informed, knowledgeable & passionate, his positive energy rubs on to you. The menu is very carefully curated & l have been to TULA several times, for their monthly special THALI, evening Biryanis & Currys & weekend brunch, this is by far the best vegan restaurant in Canada! Their butter chicken & poutine too is mind blowing. The price is very reasonable compared to what you pay for junk food or bland & boring poke bowls full of emulsified oil sauces (which looks healthy but is it really once you pour those sugary or emulsified oil beautiful sauces on it?). LONG LIVE TULA! We must support & encourage this lovely local gem & pride of Montreal!
Commande pour emporter; accueil plus que chaleureux, rapide d'exécution en cuisine; ma commande de 2 plats était prête en moins de 15 min malgré une salle à manger comble. Bouffe : savoureuse, épicée, vraiment une bonne bouffe réconfortante! J'ai pris une salade & le biryani au mockchickn; délicieux, & riz croustillant assaisonné à la perfection ❤️ bravo, je reviendrai c'est certain
Undoubtedly the best Indian food restaurant in Montreal. I was waiting for a place like this to open since I moved to Montreal. 100% authentic tasting food & extremely welcoming service! If you're south Indian, you'd want to go here just for the sambar & chutney. If you're vegan & you've not been here yet - seriously, just drop everything & go eat at Tula now! I think I have finally found a place that does justice to Indian food!
Exquisite experience in this warm local restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing : authentic & rich flavors all the way. The currys & the byrianis are absolutely amazing. The service was flawless, we were well welcomed by the kind helpful owner. 10/10 would recommend & I will definitely be going back regularly.
