Abhishek knows the art of Indian food . It's the way Indian food is meant to be! It was healthy & very flavourful with very little oil & just the right amount of spices. Each dish was unique & very satisfying. We are from Toronto & have tried a lot of the Indian restaurants there ...& I can honestly say this was the best . It was a great experience & we will look forward to coming back again soon. Highly recommended. Best Indian food in Montreal . Dont think . Just go .
The food was wonderful, tasted like my family's home cooked Indian meals (other than it being vegan). The staff are lovely humans. Our only complaint was that service was quite slow, though it was a busy evening & we were hungry.
The meal here was delicious. They serve some unusual Indian delicacies not found in other Indian restaurants. The flavour, spice & the serving portion has the right balance. The hospitality is welcoming & warm. I recommend their Jackfruit Biryani.
We've been searching for great Indian spots in Montreal & I think we found the one! & it just happens to be vegan which is a big plus. Abhishek, the owner was so kind & it's clear how much love & thought goes into every element of the restaurant. The dishes are well curated for both who enjoy spice (& I'm Indian) & milder but still yummy flavors. Offering dishes from all around India, Tula has a flavor profile for everyone. If you're Indian: they have a curry that's achar based that's amazing & got spice 🌶️ If you're vegetarian: the fake meat here is so well done (with non GMO soy ingredients) & marinated with flavors (which is hard to get right for fake meats) 🤤 * Note: because it's vegan, coconut based ingredients are often the substitute for dairy! I enjoy it but not everyone is a big fan of coconut so heads up!
We were 7 people including kids on vacation to Montréal & by the end of our trip vegetarians in our group were craving for good veg & pet bhar khana. TULA is the best restaurant we found & the food the fantastic with a twist to Indian flavors. Highly recommended Indian restaurant & trust me you will not be disappointed.
What an amazing dinner! Every bite burst with loads of flavour & was noticeably lighter than standard Indian fare. Our table of four was a split of vegans & omnivores, & everyone enjoyed the meal equally. The Goan curry was so delicious, & (as a long time vegan), I've never had a tikka masala, & it was wonderful. That & the dal palak was so rich! Service was great - Abishek is a delightful person & has certainly created something very special in Montreal.
Best vegan Indian food I've ever had. It's tasty, fulfilling & healthy.
Excellent option for vegans looking for Indian flavours. Spice level was very moderate which we loved. The host is very friendly & engaging.
Tula excels at satisfying cravings for traditional Indian dishes, each with a unique twist. Abhishek, the warm & welcoming host, ensures we understand each item & makes us feel right at home. I highly recommend the Koshambri & Grandma's Special Curry.
One of the best Indian restaurants in the city - & just so happens to be vegetarian. Homey food, beautiful presentation, & great service. A must-visit for brunch, lunch or dinner!
