We enjoyed the Tiradito a great deal...! As described on their website, all are seated at the bar surrounding a central area where food & drinks are prepared & served. Tiradito's staff is very personable & professional (we spoke French). We started with tasty & potent Peruvian cocktails & then ordered their tapas. The vegetarian dumplings, the octopus & the crispy shrimp stood out. Interestingly, the tapas was served by the chefs that prepared them (taking ownership... in my view). Dessert was a light sweet potato dumpling. The only slight downside was that they do not serve decaf or tisanes.. A pleasant evening out-of-our-ordinary & all for a very reasonable price per person. Give it a try...
The ambiance is amazing. The food is exceptional. Great drinks selection. The service we received was excellent. Expect bar type seating arrangements, start with 2 plates per person & order more as needed. Do try the pisco sour, relax, & enjoy!
Endroit vraiment bien! Bravo!
All delicious!! Meals were hard to choose which one was the best, definitely my husband & I would love to return soon 💖💖 service excellent, I loved the bar concept
Don't come here unless you know the staff or you will be completely deprioritized & barely served. My husband & I had a reservation made well in advance (weeks if not months) & stood by the door waiting to be seated for 30 minutes. Others came in & were clearly friends of staff & ushered immediately to spots at the bar. Our server never cleared any of our dirty plates so we were left sitting with them until the bill came. Further, our server was too busy cleaning up to get out of there to remember to deliver my husband's second drink. When we asked about it, he brought over a watery drink that had been sitting at the bar for 15 minutes & we had to ask for another (in my opinion he should have offered). The replacement was over doused with tequila & seemed like someone had dumped a bunch of it on top of the drink. Overall, while the food was good, we were very disappointed that we chose to spend one of our three nights in Montreal eating here.
Amazing meal!! Tiradito's food, drinks, & service are top notch. We sat at the bar & our server offered to choose dishes for us from the menu - he chose 6 dishes total & they were all fantastic - especially the octopus & duck! Highly recommend Tiradito.
Made a quick reservation while we were walking around. We were seated in arguably the worst spot in the corner of the bar right next to the entrance & heavy foot traffic in & out of the restaurant so people kept bumping into our seats. The food & drinks were delicious, but the portions are small & priced practically as an entree. Once our server gave us our food, the not so welcoming host said something to our server & our server just left. At that point, no one ever came up to us again to ask if we wanted anything else or if we would like our check or anything. At least 20 min passed until I grew frustrated enough to ask another bartender to close us out. He was pleasant & closed us out...& of course, as we walk out, no words from the host that you would expect such as goodbye, thank you or anything.
This is what you need to hit it out of the park: sit at the bar (near Nathan), ask Nathan to bring you his favourite dishes, & let the food come! & if you want to go a little crazy do some chilled shots (he'll know what you mean lol). To bring this to the next level, go downstairs for a nightcap & good vibes.
Bar with interesting (good) cocktails, food & modern music. Not a restaurant. All seats are at the bar, closely packed (i.e., not comfortable). The food/menu is interesting & worth trying once. All plates are tapas - meant for sharing.
