Here's a polished version that What a wonderful surprise! We stumbled across this restaurant while walking around Montreal on vacation, & it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Sometimes the best experiences are the ones you never planned.
We ordered the mushroom croquettes, the crispy salmon with caviar, & the crispy rice. Every dish was packed with flavor & beautifully presented. The mushroom croquettes were rich, crispy, & incredibly satisfying. The crispy salmon & caviar was my favorite-perfectly balanced with just a subtle spicy kick that complemented the salmon without overpowering it. Everything was surprisingly filling.
What really made the evening special was the service. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, & genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Their enthusiasm created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
The restaurant itself makes excellent use of its space. It's intimate, stylish, & has a great energy without feeling crowded.
If you're visiting Montreal or even if you're a local don't walk past this place. We almost did, & that would have been a huge mistake. A truly serendipitous find that we'll remember long after our vacation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm speechless. It was one of the most unique restaurants I have been to in a long time. The sushi was aesthetically beautiful & so flavorful. So much creativity to make it 100% vegan. Highly recommend this place!
Disappointing experience. I developed a terrible stomachache after eating here. The sushi relies heavily on an overwhelming amount of sauce to make up for a lack of actual flavor, & the menu features ridiculous, overly fried, gimmicky pieces. I truly do not understand how this place has such high ratings. I can only assume the positive reviews are solely because the restaurant is vegan, because otherwise, this was the worst sushi I have ever had.

Dinner at Sushi Momo was incredible. There was so much on the menu, so to focus our choices we did the Omakase. The Omakase included a nice variety of options & our waitress gracefully presented every dish with an abundance of information. The food was delicious & featured so many interesting & complex flavors. It was one of the best sushi experiences that I've ever had. The service was great & the ambiance was romantic. I really enjoyed myself.
Got the tasters menu & every single dish was exceptional! So many layered flavors & attention to detail. Service was so inviting & smooth & the lighting, aesthetic felt warmly cool.
For years, Momo has been my FAVE vegan sushi in MTL & it neverrrr disappoints!!! Whether in person or by uber eats, the food is amazingly flavorful, innovative & decadent. You gotta try it - & then keep trying more! 😍😍😍 a perfect place for a date, a night out with friends or to order in for a cozy movie night.
Used to be much more flavorful & generous with their'condiments'. $100 order & got 2 little soy sauces & a drop of wasabi that was smeared on plastic. Not acceptable!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Momo par Christian Ventura. The space had a cozy & stylish vibe, the food was beautifully presented, & everything we tried was fresh & flavorful. The sushi rolls were delicious, the crispy bites had a great texture, & the drinks were very pretty & refreshing.
A lovely Montreal spot for a casual night out, dinner with friends, or a special little evening. Definitely worth visiting.
Amazing! The variety of flavors throughout the menu is incredible. Creating vegan sushis made the chef develop an impressive imagination, using a wide range of sauces & unusual ingredients. These sushis are a lot tastier than fish could ever be. Highly recommended! Make sure to book in advance!
Sushi Momo by Christian Ventura was such an amazing experience! We went without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating after we mentioned we were visiting from Ottawa. That hospitality really set the tone for the evening.
It was actually our first time trying sushi ever, & we were blown away by how flavourful everything was. The food was creative, fresh, & absolutely delicious. We tried the miso soup, SOS sushi, Japanese arancini, & the Green Machine roll - every single dish was packed with flavor & beautifully presented.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu & took the time to explain the dishes, which made the experience even better for first-timers like us.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Definitely worth visiting, especially for vegan & vegetarian lovers. We will absolutely be coming back next time we're in Montreal!
