Si je devais décrire mon expérience en un mot : Gourmand

On a testé pas mal d'option sur la carte plusieurs assortiments & quelques recommandations du restaurant & franchement tout était excellent. Les plats sont créatifs & donnent vraiment envie de découvrir toute la carte. Même les cocktails étaient une réussite.
Le restaurant est très sympa, avec une belle ambiance même si ça devient assez bruyant lorsque la salle est pleine. En revanche , le service lui était impeccable & surtout de très bon conseil.

On a tellement aimé qu'on a même recommandé certains plats à la maison par la suite. Je conseille vraiment de venir de commander plein de choses à partager & de se laisser guider par la carte.

Upon walking in you are instantly transported to a different time & place. The setting is rustic, yet elegant. I wanted a grand tour of what this restaurant had to offer so I did the omakase four course dinner. Everything was artfully presented & the staff attentive. The food as a whole was fair & at times, heavy-handed but I appreciate how Momo is pushing what's possible with vegan sushi. Less would be more in this case & there's great potential if they could focus & tighten the menu.

This is honestly one of my favorite restaurants & I am not vegan. I came accross this restaurant for my vegan friend who also couldn't have alcohol & our waitress spent 10min going over the menu with the kitchen to find options suitvake for us. It was truly an amazing experience. Also, the food was sooo good everything we had was amazing but the highlight was that miso soup ans the crispy rice.

Momo par Christian Ventura is the kind of restaurant that makes you question everything you thought you knew about sushi.

I went in expecting a good vegan meal & left thinking, how is this actually plant-based? The creativity behind the dishes is incredible. Japanese sushi is clearly the inspiration, but Momo takes that foundation somewhere completely different-using vegetables, mushrooms, sauces, textures & unexpected combinations to create something that feels like its own cuisine 🇯🇵

Every plate feels carefully designed rather than simply substituted. The flavours are layered, the presentation is beautiful, & there's a real sense of playfulness in the menu. Even if you normally eat fish & aren't vegan, this is absolutely worth experiencing.

The atmosphere also deserves a mention: stylish, intimate & warm without feeling pretentious. The staff were welcoming & genuinely knowledgeable, & having the dishes explained made the experience even more enjoyable.

What impressed me most is that Momo doesn't try to convince you that vegan sushi is almost the same as traditional sushi. It doesn't need to. It creates its own identity.

Montreal has no shortage of restaurants, but very few places make you feel like you've discovered something genuinely new.
