Sushi Momo est un restaurant spécialisé en sushi végétalien et cuisine japonaise et a été fondé en décembre 2014 par chef de sushi extraordinaire Christian Manuel Ventura Alatorre. Avec plus que 10 ans d'expérience, les créations de Christian sont à la fois délicieuses et exceptionnellement innovatrices. Christian voulait offrir aux végétaliens le plus d'options de sushis végétaliens de toute la ville de Montréal.
Sushi Momo est un spot vegan à Montréal réputé pour ses sushis créatifs et savoureux, présentés avec soin et une ambiance chaleureuse. Le menu très varié offre des sashimis, makis, arancini et plats chauds entièrement végan, et l'on y découvre des textures et des saveurs qui surprennent même les novices. Le service est généralement attentif et professionnel, et l'ambiance intime et tamisée en fait une adresse idéale pour une soirée ou une occasion spéciale; la réservation est fortement recommandée, surtout les soirs de fin de semaine. Des retours évoquent parfois des plats un peu lourds ou des temps d'attente, mais l'ensemble est largement perçu comme exceptionnel et mémorable. Le rapport qualité-prix et l'engagement envers la cuisine végétale sont positifs, faisant de cette destination l'une des meilleures sushis véganes et recommandée aussi bien aux végans qu'aux curieux.

& no exaggeration nothing was good there was a lot of weird flavours.
Very disappointed because my fiancée just give birth & she asked for shushi so I thought I'd give it a try because it looked good on uber but complete opposite.

Sushi Momo by Christian Ventura was such an amazing experience! We went without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating after we mentioned we were visiting from Ottawa. That hospitality really set the tone for the evening.
It was actually our first time trying sushi ever, & we were blown away by how flavourful everything was. The food was creative, fresh, & absolutely delicious. We tried the miso soup, SOS sushi, Japanese arancini, & the Green Machine roll - every single dish was packed with flavor & beautifully presented.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu & took the time to explain the dishes, which made the experience even better for first-timers like us.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Definitely worth visiting, especially for vegan & vegetarian lovers. We will absolutely be coming back next time we're in Montreal!

it was a lovely dining experience, the service & the cocktails were really special. however, the faux-cream cheese used in the philadelphia roll was very unappealing (& it's usually my favourite sushi).
& unfortunately the pear dessert was really difficult to eat with just a spoon. perhaps it was a bad batch but it just didn't have much flavour & was hard.
The most delicious sushi in town.
They are also vegan but don't let that confuse your it's just simply the best.
Each type have a distinct savory flavour. Different entrées & simple desserts.
It's best to go with your couple or friends & enjoy the experience together because it's addictive.
My best friend took me here on a Friday night for my birthday, & wow! I was honestly blown away! I couldn't believe how well they mimicked the texture & flavour of real sashimi. Everything tasted fresh & creative.
The vibe was perfect , cozy, not too dark, & the music was just right. It felt intimate but still fun, definitely great for a date night or special occasion.
Our waiter explained every dish with so much care, which I really appreciated. We tried the nouveau sashimi-style special (mind-blowing!), the miso soup that felt like a warm hug full of flavour, plus the Kamikaze, Gyu, & Mr. Croquant. Everything was delicious ! though if I had to pick a least favourite, it'd be Mr. Croquant.
It might not look like a ton of food, but don't be fooled ! it's super filling! I left happy, full, & already planning my next visit.
Stunning, exceptional dining experience! We had the $55 Table d'hôte with a mocktail. The mocktails had so many complex, fine ingredients they were a tastebud's delight! Beautiful as well. Every single dish & piece of veggie sushi was an incredible culinary treat...flavourful & beautiful at the same time. The service is well trained.& professional, second to none. The ambiance was energetic & enjoyable, although bring your cell phone flashlight to see the menu if you dine late, as they dim the lights around 8pm. We dine out often & have rarely had a dining experience that matches the excellence of Momo.
Went here with four people & had the omikase. Flavours were great, I love mushrooms & that came through really well. Atmosphere is nice & cosy & provided a great environment to catch up.
Appetizers were great, soup was great, dessert was fine, & the sushi was good. But as a non-vegetarian it does not serve as a replacement for sushi. The flavours are great & they have some really interesting fusions, but most of the rolls rely on sauces to get their flavour. That's ok, & they taste good, but they are heavier & not equivalent for standard sushi.
This is solid vegan food in a nice setting, but it is not a sushi replacement.
Beautiful experience! Everything we were brought was delicious & the incredible variation of flavours & textures in each piece was a testament to the chefs abilities! I'm going to be thinking of the miso soup broth for a long time... Also worth noting that each roll is so packed with flavour that I never considered adding soy sauce, which I've never experienced before now. Every member of the wait staff we interacted with was great & we could tell that folks around us were enjoying their evening as much as we were. The layout made us feel pretty secluded despite being next to three other tables, & we couldn't hear others' conversations which I appreciated. The music at one point got a bit bumping but it mellowed down after not too long. Dim lighting & candles contribute to the cozy atmosphere. We spent a decent sum here (incl drinks) but it was expected & we both felt like we got what we paid for. Will be returning to try more in the near future!
The good was delicious, fine dining quality! The flavours were unlike anything I've ever had! It's such innovative food, I'd recommend to everyone not just vegetarians/vegans!
Absolutely amazing place. Most flavoursome sushis I've ever had. Since I was with a group, I had the opportunity to try various types & all had amazingly distinct tastes. Very friendly service, plus the servers explain all the sushis & their various ingredients.
An outstanding experience, Momo defies expectations. The flavours & textures here are fantastic, authentic, & thoughtful. We had Krispi Sushi (avocado black garlic) which had divine mouth feel & subtle, delicious flavour. Also had the Delhi futomaki, which was a lovely hit of sweet & delicious Japanese curry flavour wrapped around several tasty sushi fillings & rice. Not a huge punch of sauce, rather a perfect balance of flavours. The waitresses were thoughtful, attentive, funny & relaxed, & knew their food! Presentation was great, & the ambience was intimate, comfortable & cozy. This place for this win, great work Momo!!

Got lucky with a spot on the patio on a Friday night. Service was wonderful, staff were excited to present each item. Service was not quick but felt like a good pace to enjoy the different options. Everything was delicious, though many options feel like they are packing a lot of different flavours into a single roll. All in all we had a great time & would recommend this to anyone looking for good plant based options. We previously (2021) tried this restaurant as take-out & would recommend eating at the restaurant over take-out!
Simply Amazing! The food, service, ambience, everything is top notch. I would never have thought that vegan sushi could be this good. A unique combination of flavours & mock meats. Personal favourite was the Gyu Tempura Maki
My friend & I ordered from sushi Momo last night, as there was a deal on Uber eats, & never having tried it before I was interested. I had no idea it was vegan until our order came. Let me tell you, this was the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. I'm a die hard sushi lover, but this meal had me rethinking my love for fish, as it what so delicious being completely vegan. The variety of rolls I got, the flavour combinations & quality left us speechless! The Miso soup was also fantastic. 110% recommend & will be returning.
Before I visited here I heard many good things but this place was so much better than what I was expecting. The restaurant itself is stunning. So natural & beautiful. A earthy & simple vibe which relaxed me but when the food started coming it was anything but simple. The flavours were so complex & I could tell that so much effort went into each dish, each sushi roll & everything we were served. The presentation was amazing & the service was great. I was very impressed & I think I will need to stop in here on every trip I make to Montreal because this place was heaven!
Vegan food at its finest! Incredible restaurant. My first time trying vegan food & I was so lucky I was able to try Momo Sushi. Super complex in flavour, I was intrigued! Extremely delicious food. A must go when in Montreal! Service was also excellent. The coworkers are super friendly & explain every dish. I had the Omakase menu & can only recommend. A fair amount of food (for me was more than enough) & the price is just excellent. Overall a wonderful experience. Congratulations to this incredible idea & the hard work!
