Had an amazing anniversary dinner here! The ambiance & hospitality were spot on, & the food was delicious. Huge thanks to Desmond for making the night extra special. Highly recommend this place!
Pire expérience steakhouse à vie. Service pitoyable, repas froid.330$ pour deux personne & expérience étais si mauvaise que je vous recommande de dépenser votre argent ailleurs.

I've never been more welcome to a restaurant like i've been at this one. The food was amazing & fresh. Big shoutout to Jasmine the waitress, she's a sweetheart. Definitely recommend.
One of the best meal experiences I have ever had! Jasmine was the best with the attentiveness & made the whole evening exceptional! The burrata was delicious...must order like many of the reviews suggest. I shared the surf & turf for 3 people & everything was perfectly cooked & seasoned to perfection! Tender lobster tail, steak cooked to the right temperature & the carrots were yummy! I will we back...one of my top 3 dining experiences for sure!
Définitivement dans mon top 5 des meilleurs restaurant à Montréal! Très belle expérience que nous avons eu hier comme toujours. La nourriture était excellente sans parler du service qui a été impeccable tout au long de la soirée.

Très bon restaurant, le service impeccable & les membres de l'équipe sont très attentionnés, la qualité sublime de la nourriture ainsi que le choix très vaste ne sont qu'une partie de ce qui rend ce restaurant incroyable. L'atmospère est invitante & il y en a pour tous les goûts. Très satisfait de ma première expérience au Sel Noir.
Came for dinner Saturday night & to be honest expectations were pretty high because of the reviews & the price point. Huge disappointment. Service was slow, but OK overall. The amount of oil used in every dish was mind blowing. A nice piece of meat should not be bathed in oil. Mushrooms were drenched & carrots the same... Lastly, I was always taught that you can judge a place by its washrooms & let me tell you they were absolutely FILTHY. Did not spend more than 30 seconds in there.. All of that to say that for the location & the price point when you compare it to the big guys In terms of steakhouse, It's Doesn't come close...

Dark but cozy. Most of the food was decent, the tomahawk steak wasn't as flavourful as we'd hope. The mash potatoes were the best part of the meal, carrots & mushrooms are pretty close too! Our waiter was very distracted so we didn't see much of him unfortunately. That could use some work but we still had fun. The price of the steaks is all you get & not worth the money, then if you want sides, it's all at an extra cost. You'd think at $60 a plate you would get some veggies or salad but nope, not here. Drinks were fantastic! There is so many food choices out there so once was enough to know we won't return here again.
This restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars! The food was absolutely divine, the service was incredible & the atmosphere was perfect. The music was just at the right level for us to enjoy (i.e: we could have a conversation without having to yell to hear each other). I was there with a group of women & the staff was so kind, patient & attentive to us. The burrata was excellent & even though this is technically a steakhouse, I went for the gnocchi & was not disappointed at all - it was GOOD! The dessert of the moment was just the right touch to end the meal without being too heavy. Finally, given the disaster that is downtown Montréal for parking, I was very grateful that they offer valet service & happily took advantage of it! If you were on the fence about trying Sel Noir out, let this be your sign that you need to get yourself there asap! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Came here for a girls night in July & had the best time! I have a three course meal & the food was so good I only managed to take a photo of my burrata because I was too busy stuffing my face. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection & delicious. The atmosphere was cozy too & the mocktails I ordered were top notch. Definitely would come back next time I'm in town.
Love this place! If you're looking for a steakhouse with more of an intimate ambiance, this is the place. Been a few times & every time has been perfect. Even held an event with nearly 20 guests & all of us were shocked how on point the service & food was for such a large group. Our steaks were fantastic. Highly also recommended the burrata & lobster risotto. The owners are also so accommodating. Highly recommend.
