Traveling with Celiac disease is always stressful, so being able to have anything in the menu is such a treat. & even more so when it's all delicious. We ordered the fried mushrooms (Jamur Jamur), the broccoli (Kailan), & the scallops (Pétoncles Poêlées) - all excellent, but I think the fried fish cakes was the star appetizer. The curry chicken (Kari Ayam) was our favorite main, & the satay was a top notch side car. Disappointed to report we didn't sane room for dessert, but I can attest that the cocktail I had (the chili mutiara) was phenomenal. I like a little heat in my cocktail, & along with the smoke from the mezcal this was on point. As if the food (did I mention entirely gluten free?) wasn't enough of a reason to visit, the service, ambiance, & location all exceeded expectations too.
Satu Lagi is not only tastes authentic, but also the chili in the store is absolutely so refreshing! Definitely a paradise for spicy lovers! The business during meal time is very busy,& the exotic flavor allows you to arrive in Indonesia in one second without having to go abroad. Each kind of chili sauce has a different flavor, so I recommend you try some of them, It's very mouth-watering when mixed with vegetables & rice, but it's really super spicy. The spiciness in Indonesia is mild at first, & it doesn't feel too spicy, even a little sweet, but after a while, the aftertaste will make people sweat...be careful! Rendang beef tastes a bit like curry beef. It can be said to be a super special dish in Indonesia, the beef is chunky & delicious. The fried duck legs are deep-fried until they are very, very crispy. It can be said that there is no gravy, but some of the fat & the duck skin taste particularly oily. It is delicious when paired with onion sauce & the turmeric rice!
Tu vas me manquer gros comme la terre. Je ne t'en veux pas, je t'aimais trop pour ça. Merci pour tout xxx
This place has the best food & service I've had in Montreal in years. The food flavour wise is complex & dynamic. The wait staff is attentive & quick. I feel like the restaurant industry in Montreal has gone down hill since the pandemic & this place restored my faith. Every thing I've tried is amazing
This restaurant offers high quality Indo-Malaysian tapas, a type of cuisine & concept that stands out among other more generic & touristy stops okay Mont Royal. If you are looking for more of an upscale experience in that neighborhood, with high quality service & an extensive wine list (not to mention great cocktails), then Satu Lagi is your spot.
Conveniently located in the heart of the Plateau, we discovered the restaurant via Instagram. We did not know a reservation was necessary for brunch, so we just showed up. The server was nice enough to offer us to sit at the bar which was fine since we got to see the barmaid do her magic with the exotic drinks. The food is good, however we did not expected it to be spicy... although we asked our server, our main dishes were too spicy. We recommend you either make sure you can handle very spicy food or request the kitchen to go easy on the hot peppers! Overall a nice experience & it is worth a detour if you don't mind spicy food.
Great food, but on the spicy (& pricy) side. Service could've have been better (timing of dishes, waiting on sauces, bill split with errors, etc).
Amazing brunch!! The satay chicken skewers are incredible. The cassaba soup is a must have.
