Exceptionnel!!! Tout les plats de l'ardoise étaient vraiment exquis! Très bon service, personnel sympathique. À essayer en dessert le sticky pouding, décadent.
Notez que ce resto est exigu.
We've visited Salle Climatisee a number of times, & have never been disappointed. Service is exceptional, food is spectacular & atmosphere is cozy & inviting. Brendan & his team are passionate & welcoming to all their guests. Beautiful wine selection. Love the rotation of the menu, always get to try some thing new.
Ils nous accommodé étant un groupe de 10 samedi soir à 21h00. Ça était une des meilleurs expériences culinaires en terme de saveurs. C'est un restaurant qui va être sur mon radar chaque fois je veux aller manger. INSANEEE.
Salle Climatisée is an exceptional restaurant. Brendan took incredible care of us-curating the menu & continuously bringing out one delicious dish after another. The cabbage, chicken, beef tartare, & bread were absolute standouts. A must-visit.

Le restaurant est très agréable & convivial, le service impeccable, & la sélection de vin soignée. La nourriture vraiment délicieuse : des classiques revisités avec originalité & goût. (C'était tellement bon que j'ai oublié de photographier les plats haha)
Bref n'hésitez pas ça vaut vraiment le détour, surtout si vous êtes assis au bar : la cuisine ouverte est un jolie spectacle à regarder.
Good but... I was hoping for a better gastronomical experience; we were a group of 5 so we shared all the plates on the menu. The beef tartare wasn't seasoned & had an overpowering ranch style sauce, the pork was a bit overcooked & the 2 fish dishes had a very similar sauce. It was all good but no wow from any of us..
I truly feel like I can't oversell this place. In my two visits so far, Salle has transformed my opinion of four different vegetables (for the record: leeks, chard, rutabaga & mature spinach).
Each dish I've had pairs one classic, simple aspect executed perfectly, & a surprising element.
For example, the leeks with two sunflower seed sauces, which were available both times I visited. Perfectly cooked, custardy leeks with a pair of sauces I never would have expected to be so balanced, smooth, yet distinctly flavored of sunflower seed.
Or the pork chop with chard & carrots; the pork chop itself was simple. Perfectly pan-cooked (I compared the texture to a low & slow prime rib) but accompanied by tender chard & an apple jus that was barely sweet, but so savory I was mopping up every drop with the house's lovely sourdough before letting that plate leave the table.
Other notable memories include a tartare that brought a tear to my eye, a poached pear & buckwheat cream that defied explanation, & a lovely non-alcoholic chamomile infused cranberry drink (though the wine selection is thoughtful & extensive in spite of Salle's small footprint).
The place is tiny, & the fact that I got a same-day dinner reservation still feels wrong to me. This feels like the kind of place with a waiting list, & if I had waited months instead of hours for this same meal, I would have been no less pleased.
Front & back of house staff were both friendly, happy to serve & talk with us. I left full, happy & enlightened, & I don't think you should leave Montreal without stopping by for the same treatment.
Salle Climatisee knocked our socks off. They know what they're doing & who they are, & the convivial host is warm & welcoming. You feel like you're in his house & he's giving you a beautiful meal with harmony within each dish & across courses, where butter is a'love language.' The vibe is like Brooklyn but better, because it's Montreal. Book ahead, because when word gets out, you'll have to.
Easily one of the best restaurants in Montreal. I've been a handful of times now, & each visit somehow tops the last. The service is warm, unpretentious knowledgeable, & makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The food & wine are consistently outstanding - it's honestly impossible to pick a favorite dish without doing a disservice to the rest of the menu
I really enjoy the atmosphere in here. For my tastes, the music is just loud enough, the lights just dim enough, & the service was the right amount of attentive & laid back. The wine selection was fun & interesting. The food was good overall. The corn dish we tried was slightly underwhelming. The price point is slightly high but worthwhile.
Tout était très bon, mais les prix trop élevés. Nous avons payé 18$ hors taxes pour une salade avec sa vinaigrette, quelques lamelles de fromage & radis. Ou bien 49$ hors taxes pour un poisson blanc accompagné d'une sauce au poivre & de 2 champignons. Ces plas étaient à partager à deux.
En dehors des prix qui m'ont paru exessifs, tout était très bon & le service très agréable 🙂
Our dinner at Salle Climatisée ranks among the most memorable meals we have had. Every course - from the leeks to blueberry dessert with tarragon (& superb dessert wine of undistilled grapes & cognac - wow!) was as inventive as it was delicious. Not one was less than superb! We loved the casual atmosphere, the attention from the owner(s) & chefs, & watching our food being prepared while we ate at the counter. We will be back every time we revisit Montreal!
We made our reservation two weeks in advance & arrived about 10 minutes late. The staff welcomed us with no stress, which we really appreciated. That said, please don't be late-these people work hard & deserve respect for their professionalism.
From the start, everything felt well thought out: a choice of sparkling or still water, spotless cutlery, & a menu designed so your server can walk you through the details-resulting in top-notch service.
Food wasn't our main focus for the evening, except for the beef tartare, which truly stood out. It was top quality & even reminded me a little of the tartare at White Rabbit in Moscow. The team also knows how to make custom cocktails, which was a pleasant surprise. We shared dessert, corn, & a few other dishes-good, simple, & well executed.
The room was a bit loud, but in the best way: lively & full of energy, yet somehow still cozy enough that you could almost sneak a small nap. We got exactly what we were looking for-three hard-earned hours of mini-holiday vibes-joking with our waiter & soaking in the atmosphere.
Food was amazing, interior & vibe was also fantastic. We were very well taken care of by the staff & thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Merci!!
Belle ambiance intime & plats simples & raffinés! Une expérience authentique comme on ne retrouve pas ailleurs. Je recommande de s'asseoir au bar pour voir le personnel à l'oeuvre. Merci pour la belle soirée!
