The kitchen prioritizes local agricultural output, translating raw elements into structured plates that emphasize natural flavor profiles and precise technique. Patrons engage with a rotating selection of dishes designed around current market availability and regional terroir. The physical space maintains a minimalist aesthetic, favoring clean lines and an understated atmosphere that directs full attention toward the plate. This approach creates a focused environment where the integrity of the cooking remains the primary priority. Review Summary

Salle Climatisée is widely regarded as a standout culinary destination in Montreal, celebrated for its exceptionally creative, seasonal menu and intimate, cozy atmosphere. Guests consistently praise the high quality of the dishes, particularly the beef tartare, leeks, and decadent desserts, as well as the thoughtful wine pairings and knowledgeable service. While most visitors find the shareable portions and the opportunity to watch the kitchen staff from the counter to be part of an unforgettable experience, some noted that the prices can be on the higher side. Overall, the restaurant is cherished for its warm, welcoming hospitality and consistent excellence, making it a highly recommended spot for those seeking a unique and refined dining experience.

Cute little spot, but lacking in service & only one memorable dish. We ordered the sunflower vinaigrette leeks, lobster salad, beef tartare, & trout. All of the dishes were good, but nothing that I felt I would go back for, except the leeks - totally recommend that dish! The wine options were great; a lot of natural & bio options, which made for interesting rosés & oranges. We skipped dessert since we didn't feel that the food was anything outstanding. The service was very slow & a little awkward - when I asked for explanations of the dishes, I just received a dictation of the chalkboard. My partner & I both asked to try orange wines & the waiter brought over 3 bottles, but didn't have each of us try all of them, he gave me 2 to try & my partner another 2, 1 of which was the same as mine. We each asked to try the respective ones we weren't poured & the waiter did let us, but the experience was kind of odd. Nice moody atmosphere though!

Just small enough to be intimate, just large enough to deliver a grand experience. The menu focuses on seasonality & Canadian geography making the most of available riches. To suggest dishes is impossible as they may not be on the chalkboard when you go. & go you should! The pricing is quite reasonable & portions ample. Our group of three shared three starters an entree & two desserts & we we pleasantly fueled for the night. Don't sleep on the bread service either. You'll want to swipe through every sauce.

On our fourth visit to Salle Clim, the experience felt less like a reliable favorite & more like a restaurant quietly losing its footing. What was once our go-to spot for a consistently enjoyable meal now seems to be slipping, both in the kitchen & on the floor. The leeks remained a highlight, familiar, & as excellent as ever. The radish with whipped ricotta landed with far less conviction, coming across as bland & underdeveloped. The beef tartare, by contrast, was excellent: deeply savory, well-balanced, & easily one of the evening's strongest dishes. But the final plate, the cochon, was difficult to justify. Two slices of pork accompanied by green peas & a sauce that added little in the way of flavor made for a disappointing close, especially at more than $40. Service, too, was uneven. The gentleman serving us appeared disengaged & never once offered a smile, though the woman who later took over brought a much warmer & more welcoming presence. It is disappointing to see a restaurant we once counted on decline in this way, & after this visit, it will likely be our last.

Food is impeccable, but the menu is weird: Plates are all large portions of a single ingredient - meant to share, I suppose, but even the mains were all of one thing. If I'm dining alone I'm not needing a dozen large stalks of asparagus. Delicious, though, creative, beautiful to look at. Also, waiter was meh (only suggesting bottles at the high end of the menu, kinda surly), waitress was great.

400 dollars later, just can't imagine going back. Food is amazing!
