About

Founded in 1960 by brothers Peppino and Federico Corneli, the restaurant continues to uphold the same authentic recipes passed down through generations. A true family business, it is now proudly run by the new generation — Nicola, Pina, and Alex Corneli, together with Chef Joe Nicodemo. Our homemade pasta, hand-crafted by Nonna Donna, remains the heart and soul of our cuisine. And of course, our pizza baked in an oven imported from Italy delivers that traditional taste we’re famous for.

First time going to Cornelli. It was an office lunch.
We were are all so happy with our time at Cornelli. The staff, the venue, the vibe. It was extremely pleasant.

We had amongst the best italian dishes in Montreal. Fresh ingredients, very generous portions, well presented plates. It was an amazing meal.

Thank you to our great server for the kind & effective service.
Will gladly go back with family & friends.

Quel beau moment passé sur la terrasse. L'ambiance est vraiment agréable & parfaite pour profiter d'une belle journée ensoleillée sur le boulevard.

Le plat de pâtes aux fruits de mer était délicieux & très généreux. J'ai aussi beaucoup apprécié le cocktail rafraîchissant avec sa tranche d'orange, qui complétait parfaitement le repas. Une excellente adresse à découvrir absolument.

Decided to stop by this place on a whim & I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is charming & feels very traditional. I ordered the classic pizza & it was exactly what I was hoping for, with a thin crust & high quality toppings. Prices are quite reasonable given the quality of the food & the size of the portions. It is great to see a neighborhood place that keeps up such a high standard of service.

I had a really lovely evening at Restaurant Corneli. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, perfect for a casual dinner with friends. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente & the sauce had a depth of flavor that you just cannot find everywhere. Our server was attentive without being overbearing & the wine recommendation was spot on. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu soon.

Honestly, one of the best Italian meals I have had in Montreal in a long time. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was executed with great care. The staff clearly takes pride in what they do & they made us feel welcome from the second we walked in the door. If you are looking for a reliable restaurant for a date night or a family celebration, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

Finding a reliable spot in this neighborhood can be hit or miss, but Corneli is a consistent winner. The portions are generous & the ingredients taste fresh. I particularly enjoyed the veal dish, which was tender & seasoned well. It is a bit loud when the place is full, but that is to be expected for such a popular local spot. A solid choice for anyone looking for authentic comfort food in a comfortable setting.
