Sabrosa is noted for its lively Old Montreal setting, stylish decor, and welcoming vibe, offering a menu built around Mexican-inspired dishes where birria tacos, al pastor, and shrimp tacos are frequently highlighted for flavor, along with fresh guacamole and a range of salsas; portions are generally generous and the atmosphere on the terrace or inside is described as tasty, festive, and family-friendly, though some guests find the menu limited for vegetarians and the authenticity of flavors not always aligned with traditional Mexican cuisine; service is praised when staff are attentive, but experiences of slower service and occasional inconsistencies in dish execution or value were noted, including one report of undercooked churros and another of a heavy sauce affecting certain tacos; overall Sabrosa is seen as a solid, fun option in the touristy Jacques Cartier area with good value for money, a strong taco lineup, and a lively scene that invites a return to try other dishes.
I would rate this place 3 stars. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, & has very nice decor. The concept leans more toward gourmet Mexican cuisine, which gives it a more'fancy' feel.
However, I wouldn't consider it one of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal, as it lacks that authentic, traditional flavor. That said, the service was good & overall it's a pleasant place to visit.
Fantastic Mexican restaurant serving latin street food at its best! The tacos were out of this world & the staff was amazingly welcoming! The avocado dip was very fresh & tasty, the tacos melt in your mouth with the perfect balance of flavors. We ordered the Al Pastor Tacos & the Shrimp tacos- highly recommended!

Had a wonderful Experience .
Tried the tacos & the Enchiladas. Both were amazing
100% recommend if you're looking for a place to eat Mexican food in & around the streets of the Old port area.
Prices were not bad as well
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere-clean & air-conditioned. The staff were very professional & attentive, consistently refilling our water glasses without us having to ask. The restaurant serves Mexican cuisine, & the food tasted excellent. Overall, it offered great value for location.
This is probably one of the best meals we've had while traveling. We love Mexican cuisine & hold it to a very high standard. This exceeds expectations. Highly recommend the tacos El Pastor & the Birria tacos. We enjoyed it so much, we ordered a second round of dishes of our favorites. For just a group of four, we were absolutely stuffed, but we couldn't stop. It was so good.
Omg this was probably the best Mexican food I've had in a looooooong time. I wanted to go back but there wasn't enough time. Only critique would be the beer pints seem to be quite small but the food was amazing!

Mexican fare in Old Montreal. Great location! It was just ok. Not a busy night, but food took very long to come out. Taste was ok, nothing special. Service is friendly.
Really good mexican restaurant in the old port! The ambience is super cozy, food is very good & decently priced for the location. Perfect spot for date night or with friends!
I was so lucky to accidentally pass by this Mexican gem in the Old Port! Their 17:00-19:00 half-price margaritas were such a great find. I also ordered nachos, & the guacamole was amazing-so fresh & flavorful. The highlight for me was the fried calamari-it was so freaking delicious! Their prices are super reasonable, & the service is incredibly friendly. I felt so welcome throughout my visit. I can't wait to go back & try their main dishes. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area!
I went here VERY skeptical. Mexican food in Canada? In a super touristy area? C'mon. But, the food was great! Very fresh ingredients & vibrant flavors. I had the shrimp ceviche & Sabrosa kale salad with a glass of orange wine. I enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was cosy yet modern. Service was warm & attentive. This is a lovely spot to stop for a meal while in the main shopping area of Old Montreal.
I tried few dishes here, corns, vegan tacos, guacamole, fries. Everything was amazing with good atmosphere & vibes of old Montreal was amazing. I recommend this place for good Mexican food in Montreal.

Amazing tacos! Coming from a Mexican this was authentic & delicious. We were served a delicious meal quickly & lots of gluten friendly options (I had the tacos birria).
Amazing restaurant!! Had a great selection of menu options! Had a fabulous drink served in a cactus cup! I ordered the enchiladas with a few tapas like the corn, ceviche, fries, & rice & beans! The best food fancy Mexican food I've ever had! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, Leo was the best waiter as he was so kind & helpful! Really amazing dining experience!
Absolutely loved the birria tacos & papaya salad at this cozy Mexican spot! The flavors were incredible. However, the drinks were a bit lacking with 90% ice & 10% drink, which was disappointing. But I 100% recommend this place!
