Great food. Great service. Great vibe. 3 of us. We all enjoyed our meals. Went there prior to a hockey game. Very friendly spot. Definitely would recommend a reservation. I booked 5 days ahead & had to take earlier than I wanted. Ordered roast beef melt, original Reuben & steak sandwich.

Came for a late lunch after arriving in Montreal & it was fantastic.
Our server was great & he provided us with recommendations & kept things light & funny.
The food was great; we had the Reuben & The Charlie. Both of us were stuffed.

The waitress was very ignorant when it came to our table . We were the only ones here who were not from here . Got service late. Served our food later than people who came after us . We only ordered one singular sandwich & waited for 30 minutes & wasted our time in here.
I had raised my hand twice for to ask the bill & even tho he looked at me he did not even came to our table & asked if we needed any help. He is just standing around in every other table but ours. This is so weird & rude towards people who are not from here . You guys should check your employees if they are racist .

Une excellente nourriture & un serveur agréable & courtois. Nous sommes venus vers 16h30 & c'était parfait : petite musique & on s'entend parler. Un très bel endroit à aller en couple à mon avis. C'est probablement ma meilleure expérience de restauration depuis bien longtemps! Bravo 👌🏻

Pratique pour un lunch rapide en ville. La poutine & les salades sont excellentes. La viande fumée est correcte (un peu trop gélatineuse)

Reuben's Restaurant & Delicatessen & Steakhouse in Montreal is an absolute must-visit. They serve some of the best smoked meat in Canada-tender, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, & piled high just the way it should be. Every bite truly reflects Montreal's legendary smoked meat tradition.
Beyond the main dishes, the variety of desserts is outstanding. From classic favorites to indulgent treats, there's something for everyone, & they're the perfect way to end a fantastic meal.
The service made the experience even better. Gustavo & Andres were excellent servers-friendly, attentive, & genuinely professional. They made us feel welcome from start to finish & ensured everything was perfect.
Amazing food, great desserts, & top-notch service. Highly recommended, & we'll definitely be back! ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?

Nous sommes venus pour faire goûter la pojtine & du smoked meat à un cousin venu de France. Il a adoré ses plats (halburger & poutine on the side). Je ne suis pas super fan de ce genre de nourriture mais j'ai apprécié mon club sandwich & étonnamment... les frites qu'en général je touche à peine ! Notre serveuse était vraiment super fine ! L'ambiance diner underground était sympa.

We went in for steak & ordered the Sullivan cut with shrimp, mashed potatoes, fries, some veggies. The waiter was very knowledgeable, freindly & prompt. We absolutely loved the food & service & recommend this restaurant for awesome steak. There was no reservation needed around 6 pm even on new year's Eve but they had reservations after 7.30 pm.

Great for out of town guests to get your fill of Delicious smoked meat.
The classic smoked meat sandwich is a winner & the cocktails are nice & strong.

By far the best smoked meat in Montréal. Potato soup awesome. Jewish seasoned ground beef. Generous césar salad. Stewart's soft drinks!!!

5 étoiles pour mon repas de fête ce soir !! J'ai pris le fameux sandwich & changé ?a frite en poutine. Le sandwich était excellent mais la sauce poutine tres moyenne.. En entrée les languettes de poulet étaient WOW. Comme dessert le fameux gâteau au fromage excellent. Les bloody cesar à 18$ c'était un peu excessif par contre, mais c'est ma fête une seule fois par année !! 200$ pour deux personnes pourboire inclu. Il est possible de manger pour la moitié du prix à deux, on ne s'est pas vraiment attardé au prix !! 5 étoiles car rendu à la maison, on ne regrette rien du tout. On y retournera.

I visited Reuben with high expectations given its reputation in Montreal, but I left feeling thoroughly disappointed. Despite all the fame, the food was remarkably average.
The sandwiches were'middle of the road' at best-nothing you couldn't get at a standard diner. However, the prices certainly didn't reflect that mediocrity; it's significantly overpriced for what you actually get. It feels like you are paying for the name & the central location rather than the quality of the ingredients.
If you're looking for an authentic Montreal smoked meat experience with actual value for your money, there're much better options in the city. Great fame, but very'just okay' quality 🙁

Ophelia was amazing. She had great recommendations from the menu, full of life & loved her job. Great at multitasking. Fun atmosphere, good food, the desserts looked amazing.
