The restaurant has a very classic feel to it. Gustavo provided excellent service for food & drinks that were also both phenomenal.

The potato pancakes & sweet pickles are great choices for appetizers. Nothing was coated in a heavy batter, & it was all very light & tasty. The mustard dip went really well with both options too! If you like french onion soup, this is the place to try it. It was balanced very well. As a vegetarian, this was the last place I thought I'd try, but Gustavo was great at recommending a few items for a main dish. I was thinking about the mushroom flatbread before he recommended the Reuben vegetarian sandwich, I was happy I went with his suggestion. The vegetables were cooked nicely, the rye bread was fantastic, & the poutine was perfection. That being said, my brother & father's smoked meat sandwiches looked quite hearty & they had nothing but praise for it.

All in all, this is a must try restaurant if you are in downtown Montreal. It was a five minute walk from our hotel & it was well worth it! A reservation was made in advance (morning of), so make sure you give yourself some time to book or drop-in if you are going during the lunch or dinner rush.

Came from Ontario & was very pleased overall. From the moment we walked in the staff were welcoming. As an English speaker who has been looking to practice my French, the waiter was incredibly kind & helped me learn to order my meal in French. Upon receiving the food I was blown away! I was questioning the cost initially & didn't want to spend $40 on a burger but it was worth every penny. The F1 Burger was amazing & very filling. Portions are large & the food is amazing. Definitely a bit on the pricey side but is a very nice place for a special occasion!
