We ordered some drinks & an appetizer, but unfortunately nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. We had reserved a table in advance, & while there were several free tables available when we arrived, we were seated at the bar instead. This completely threw off the mood - we were hoping for a romantic dinner, but the atmosphere at the bar was the opposite of what we envisioned. It felt disappointing enough that we simply wanted to leave.
On the positive side, the service itself was good; the staff were polite & attentive. However, the menu was surprisingly limited & offered very few vegetarian options, which made it harder to find something appealing to order. Overall, while the service was solid, the combination of an uninspiring menu & an unromantic seating arrangement made this an underwhelming experience.
Staff were super friendly although we could feel they were understaffed & it took an hour for our meal to arrive, I can't say nothing but great things about the service & the food. The lady at the bar making cocktails was the sweetest! Compliment to the chef for the scrumptious fillet mignon steak!
We arrived at 8 pm & were seated at the bar. I ordered a glass of red & my partner & I decided on 5 sharing items. Bread, shrimp, scallops, lobster arrancini, & the beef. Our scallops & shrimp arrived at 8:45, & we had to request our bread twice which arrived at about 15 minutes after the first two plates. By 9:40 we requested the bill because we still hadn't received our other two items & were starving. There were many other people complaining of the wait as well so it wasn't isolated to just us. We also weren't even offered any compensation for the wait either which you'd think they could have at least dropped the 4 dollar charge for bread off the $70 bill or something. It's a shame because the food we did receive was nice, server was good, & the venue is beautiful. Someone really dropped the ball in the kitchen. We ended up going to the buffet so maybe consider that if you visit. More bang for your buck & you'll actually get fed.
Ugh. First time & certainly my last. We had a reservation on a Thursday evening for my dad's 70th birthday. It took a while for the waiter to come & take our orders because there was an issue with their tablets. Why can't they take the orders on paper when the tablets aren't working? I wanted to order the Table d'hôte but asked to switch one of the main plates for the tartare, asking if they could charge me an extra. The waiter refused, stating he would have to charge me everything separately, which would cost me almost double. This is ridiculous since I ended up only ordering the tartare (42$ before tax), when I could've spent minimum 70 before tax. We got a bottle of wine for 4 people & the waiter NEVER came back even once to ask us if we wanted something else to drink. The appetizer my parents got was a single warm oyster on a huge bed of salt & pepper. Why serve something that is not edible? When we received the main plate, the waiter NEVER came back to ask us if everything was to our liking. It also took forever for the plates (appetizers & main plate) to be removed. My sister ordered the only vegan plate on the menu, the tofu was undercooked (barely grilled) & unseasoned, the oat was mushy & watery. Also took a while to get the check. Overly expensive & overall not a nice experience.
