The space at Graziella feels calm & polished, perfect for a leisurely lunch or a quiet catch-up.
The food itself was decent. Flavours were there, presentation was nice, nothing groundbreaking but solid.
Here's where it fell apart: the service was painfully slow. What's frustrating is that it wasn't even that busy. Aside from a company group, the restaurant was fairly quiet. There were more than enough staff on floor & in the kitchen to handle the flow, but dishes & drinks still took forever to come out.
It's a shame, because the ambiance & food had potential for a lovely lunch. But when the pace drags like that, it takes away from the whole experience.
**Update** My review was 7 years old & I've been there 20+ times in the past seven years & in my view, this is the best table in Montreal if not in Canada. G is at the top of her game & she works the kitchen like a grand master & still managed to impress anyone with new flavours.Carte des vins impressionnante. Restaurant 5 étoiles +++ L'expérience gastronomique est mémorable.
Classy & elegant with refined tastes. It's wonderful to learn the head chef is the owner who still works in the kitchen.
