The ramen came lukewarm, the broth was incredibly thick (felt like curry/pasty texture), the egg was cold, & it wasn't spicy at all. I question their choice of toppings. I read another review from 4 months ago & they mentioned the exact same thing about the Tori-paitan. Overall, not the restaurant for me, but I do hope the business improves.
Like the other reviews said: the spicy chicken broth was room temp, suspiciously thick & greasy, way too salty even though we asked for less salty, not spicy, strange choice of toppings (arugula & red onions, no green onions). Go down the street to Tsukuyomi instead
I always love finding Japanese restaurants which are truly authentic. Always a great sign if the staff speaks Japanese. :)
Food was absolutely delicious (& I eat a lot of Ramen) - we had the Karaage & spicy Tonkutsu Ramen, the broth was amazing! Haven't tried other items of their menu yet, will come back!
We wanted to try a new ramen spot, but sadly the ramen itself was disappointing to us.
We ordered the spicy tori-paitan & the hakata tonkatsu. The flavors were simply underwhelming compared to other ramens we've had & I wasn't a fan of the noodles texture. The tori-paitan also had some strange toppings: raw onions & arugula?! There were customization choices on the menu, & we could choose to have the ramen extra-hot. However, the ramens arrived lukewarm. It did not help that the added toppings, especially the egg, were very cold.
I did like the ambiance of the restaurant. The bathroom was outdated though, with separate faucets for hot & cold water.
Overall, this experience did not fill our ramen craving. In comparison, Tsukuyomi ramen close by was much better.
Walked in on snowy Sunday & found a gem! My partner had the Yuzu Chicken, light but flavourful & not salty. I had the Spicy Tonkotsu, a sold spice for someone that eats very little spice.
Cozy vibes & feels like I'm in Japan. Not rush it, bring your kids.
The menu is short & straight to the point. We ordered the spicy premium that came with tender pork that melted in your mouth, a jammy hard boiled egg & all the toppings. The broth was deliciously comforting. It may seem like a small bowl at first but it is a very hearty dish. Left feeling warm & fuzzy. We went on a Friday night & it was quiet, i believe this is more a lunch spot. I almost felt like we needed to whisper it was such a zen ambiance. Service was a little slow.
Nous avons adoré le cold ramen & le spicy ramen + oeuf. Un excellent service.
I can't describe how good is this ramen specially the spicy one 🌶️, friendly, fast & delicious
