Review Summary

Feedback on Pork & Pickle at the Montreal airport shows a wide range from standout dishes and fast, friendly service to inconsistent food quality and patchy experiences. Some diners praise smoky brisket, spicy wings, a creamy mac and cheese, and a burger with generous portions, while others report dry or cold meat, underwhelming sides, slow or uneven service, and inflated airport prices. Several visits are described as having excellent hospitality and a lively, bar like atmosphere, but several other experiences note misprepared orders, missing toppings, rude interactions, and pressure around tipping. Overall, Pork & Pickle is seen as a dependable option for travelers seeking a hearty meal before a flight, with both high points and notable flaws depending on the visit.

We had a fantastic experience at Pork & Pickle during our layover.

The food was very good, the service was excellent, & the overall experience was easily 5 stars. The staff were friendly & attentive, making it a relaxing & enjoyable stop in the middle of a long travel day.

With a 4 hour layover, this was the perfect place to sit back, enjoy a great meal, & pass the time comfortably. The bartender was happy to put the hockey game on for us & that was very much appreciated as it help pass the long layover.

Highly recommend if you find yourself at the airport.

Extremely slow service for an airport restaurant. At least the food was delicious.

Overpriced, even by airport standards. Food was just ok. Water was served in chipped plastic cups, which is cheap given the cost to eat here. Service was attentive.

Not sure how the food is & doesn't matter really because how terrible the people working there are. Went in to Asked if they can check if my airline issued voucher would work before I place an order, the employee just gave me a hand gesture to wait outside with a dirty look though I just went by the counter. Then she came & said I need to order first & when I asked what if it doesn't work, she said then you have to pay with card & simply walked away....again, simply walked away. Avoid this place if you don't want to lose faith in humanity, as a matter of fact avoid this airport at all cost. Not worth any of the hassle you will be going through.

This used to be a go to stop for food (especially meat, pulled pork, etc.) at Montreal Airport...& value/generous servings. Since my last visit, & like many places, they have fully adopted shrinkflation. Will find a more reasonable alternative. The two of us shared a very small pulled pork sandwich, a handful of sweet potato fries, 2 beers & 2 5oz glasses of wine & walked away $110 poorer, not including an 18% tip for our server who was very helpful.

Came to the YUL Pork & Pickle with my partner on our way back home to Toronto. Despite having standard airport prices ($$$), they truly surpassed our expectations. Firstly, our server Ana Teresa was charming & helpful. Also, they had the Winter Olympics playing on the tv which was greatly appreciated, as we are fans of winter sports. We had two draft Molson Canadians each, which were cold, crispy & delicious. We shared the spicy crispy wings which were very tasty, but the star of the show was the Dirty Mac & Cheese. I find restaurant mac & cheeses to be often disappointing, but Pork & Pickle really hit it out of the park with this one. The mac was savoury, with exquisite pulled pork, croutons, & a creamy cheese sauce. We absolutely adored our experience & will be recommending this fine establishment to all YUL travelers.

This place is a bright star at Montreal's airport. It's'airport expensive' indeed, but it's reasonable priced considering the airport itself doesn't have many options in terms of snacks & restaurants. Food is usually above average here, sometimes quite good. They know their craft when it comes to ribs, though. Whenever I'm around, I always get these ribs with beans & fries. Go for it, you won't regret. Service can be difficult when the place is jammed, but they are fast & try their best to look around & see if anyone is in need of anything.

Such a great experience from start to finish.

From the kind & welcoming hostess, to the bartender with an incredible vibe, to the server, everyone was attentive, warm, & genuinely pleasant. You could feel that people cared, & it made all the difference.

The bartender was a true gentleman with a salt-&-pepper mustache & an effortless, charming presence. A true comedian. The service was smooth, friendly, & exactly what you hope for when traveling.

Hands down one of the best places at the airport. Pork & Pickle turned my day around, & I'll absolutely be back.

Great spot for a pre-flight meal for 30 CAD
?I stopped by Pork & Pickle near gates 1 & 2 in Terminal A while waiting for my flight. Since it's in the International/Domestic section (not the USA gates), it was the perfect spot to grab a bite.
?The service was super fast, which is exactly what you need at an airport. I ordered the burger & it was actually great-way better than your typical airport food. Plus, the location is excellent with a really nice view to enjoy while you eat. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a quick, quality meal before you head out...

I love that there is a decent restaurant in the airport for when you want a proper dining experience & have a filling meal.

I ordered the beef brisket with fries & potato salad & it was good! 4/5 stars for food because I was expecting for beef brisket to be juicy soft but only 1 side of each brisket is soft & the rest is dry. I saw a review with similar experience so I think thats how they make the brisket - I hope they change it tho & that would be perfect.

This is one of the few airport restaurants I look forward to eating at. Marc & his colleagues are spectacular at what they do. They recommend good combinations of beer & food.

What I love is that when it comes to pay & they hand you the machine the tip options are 0%, 0%, 0% & Custom. Nothing says we value customer feedback on our performance than this! In a day where I have seen the tip button at 25% & go up this is a rarity! The team definitely makes sure you are attended to properly!

Looking forward to next time in YUL

Atmosphere is ok. It is an airport. So expensive. For what you get. 20 dollars for 5 wings. Service was good. Waitress was covering a huge section, but she was still able to provide good service.

It's an airport restaurant, so you shouldn't really be expecting much.

With that in mind, take your expectations & lower them a bit further.

Then you can go for a subpar meal, overpriced drinks, & wander out wondering why you made such a poor decision. ;)

Overpriced typical airport restaurant experience. Food is good enough to fill you up, nothing great. Prices are high.

I have a connection flight in the Montreal airport, so I decided to grab something to eat & a friend recommended me Pork & Pickle, I have to be honest the food was really good & I enjoyed it; the service was good, not bad but not excellent. When it was time to pay it came the moment to tip, to be honest I came on a budget & I was already expending $21 on the poutine, but the service wasn't bad & I also work in the tip system so in my possibilities I put $1 (I know not much but I prefer it than nothing) when the waitress saw it she asked me if I made a mistake, I got confused, so I told her in a nice (& ashamed way) that it wasn't & I apologize, she got angry so I just walked away.
After having a good meal, I end up my experience feeling bad, I also work earning tips, but I have never made any one feel ashamed for what they have gave me. Not sure want the circumstances were in her situation but I really don't think it was fai

Gluten Free Sizzle & Spice Blackened Chicken Rice Bowl. SO good! If you are stuck in airport & a Celiac. This was SO good! Spicy & flavourful!

Quick & pleasant service, & better BBQ than you'd think you'd get at an airport. Try the brisket.
