I'm assuming they didn't get the internal temp anywhere near 203 f (95 c), probably topped it out at 170 f (77 c) at most & did a faster cook. 1/3 of the brisket pieces I was basically fat & there was no visible smoke ring at all. My fault for ordering brisket at an airport, but it sounded when I read it on the menu. On the plus side, the beans & slaw were amazing & the service was pretty good!View more
Great food & exceptional service & the Airport location ! The waiter even made a special order drink that I asked for ! Thanks/ Merci/ GraciasView more
For an airport restaurant it's better than most. I had the brisket w coleslaw & salad. Half the brisket was dry but the other half was amazing.View more
The smoked brisket was good, a tiny bit on the salty side, but for airport food & portion it was decent. The host/manager was really nice; however the server was rude.
I had come to eat with a friend who already had a takeout container of food & before we were seated, I double checked with the host that it was okay for my friend to sit & eat with me in the restaurant. He said it was okay because I would be ordering. The server came up to kick us out when she saw my friend eating when I explained how the host had said it was fine for us to have outside food as i would be ordering, she took my order. Things took a turn when she was putting down my food & especially when she was taking away my plate. She snatched it away & didn't ask if I wanted anything else or if I was ready for the bill. She came back with the bill immediately which was fine as I was ready to leave but it was unreasonably rude. I could tell she did not like us because she treated the couple that was seated next to us super nicely, wished them to have a good flight etc. maybe it's because we looked younger or maybe it's because we aren't Caucasian 🤷🏻?♀?
Atmosphere was nice because it was fairly empty.View more
major shout-out to George for being such a wonderful server! he made our early morning at the airport very enjoyable :-)View more
Hussam was fantastic. He demonstrated a great work ethic, was friendly, efficient, & apologetic when things didn't go to plan with his customers - which was beyond his control. Give some love to Hussam for being a great worker.
We had the Cajun rub wings, which were good, & the BBQ drippings mac & cheese, which was light on the cheese. Overall, a decent spot to stop when detained in terminal A at Montreal airport. Thanks, Hussam.View more
Had a couple hours to waste at the Montreal airport & decided to finally give this spot a try. The tables & spacing is good for the massive amount of space they have, & when I went there it wasn't that busy so did not have people close to my table. The server that attended to me was amazing! Made sure my beer was always full & my order was taken right away. They have a good selection of domestic & imported beers on tap. I personally love local craft beer which they had a couple of on tap. I ordered the smoked bacon chicken club with fries, & do they ever pile the fries. It came with ketchup & horseradish dip which was amazing with the crispy fries. The club was delicious with perfect amount of toppings & flavour. Price was typical for airport restaurant ($60 for food & 2 beers not including tip). Overall the Pork & Pickle restaurant was overdue for me to try & did not disappoint. Highly recommend!View more
It's airport food, so not expecting great, but this place wasn't bad. Limited options in the airport so it's nice seeing a place offer a decent variety. I enjoyed my meal, just wished the portion would have reflected the price.View more
Airport food is always the same: mediocre, criminally overpriced, & poorly served. I'm in awe at how starkly Pork Pickle contrasts against this expectation. Great food (as in I would go here if there was one back home), quick service, large portions, & fair pricing. The only thing I'm left wishing is that they had one of these in every airport in the world, so I don't have to feel like I'm being held at gunpoint to overpay for garbage anymore. There isn't a lot of dignity in air travel anymore, these folks buck that trend hard.View more
An utterly uninspired & dissapointing meal. The bar for a meal at an airport is very low, & the Pork & Pickle failed to reach it. If you are in the market for cold fries that are also overcooked somehow, & a vegetarian "Bahn Mi" that had sweet potato fries as the "protein", then this place will scratch that itch for you. I regret not eating at the McDonald's instead.View more
The staff were quite cold. The person who sat us hardly said anything & didn't smile. She just told us to follow her. Then our waitress also didn't even say hi or smile at all. She just stood there waiting for us to tell her what we wanted to drink. My husband told her we had a sleeping baby just to try & make the air lighter & she replied with, "do you want me to not talk?". The food was ok. My sandwich didn't have any sauce (I don't remember if it was supposed to). My husband enjoyed his food though. The food was a bit pricey but that's somewhat expected with airport food.View more
Breakfast poutine was good. Lots of sauce not much brisket the egg was nice. It could use some lemon in the sauce that I am sure came in powder form. Airport food. Expensive & bland.View more
It's terrible, the food is bad & the service is slow. This place would never survive outside of the captive market of airport.View more
The food was okay (other than the fact that the glasses smelled like dish soap), but the service was very bad. It took forever to get my food & even longer to get my check. Management needs to remember that this is an airport restaurant- people aren't here to linger. Have some respect for your customers' time!View more
Decent spot for airport food. Staff was friendly & helpful. I recommend the smoke show brisket meltdown.View more
Had a plate of poutine & a coke during my layover. My photo does it no justice, but it *was* delicious. Bit pricey, but, it's an airport restaurant, so nothing unexpected there. But was nice to have some good poutine at the source, here in Quebec 😁View more
One of the better airport restaurants I've been in.View more
Price is what brings this rating down. I know airports are expensive. I know sit down restaurants at airports are worse, but damn 70 bucks for a sandwich, & two bowls of soup is crazy! I had two sodas & tipped as well, but that is a crazy amount. The food tasted great. The service was fantastic. But it is expensive. They were also VERY fast. Like we ate in under thirty minutes at a sit down restaurant. Our waitress even asked if we had a flight to catch!View more
Understandably, it's a bit expensive, but your in an airport so it makes senseView more
I ordered a burger & fries. The burger was fine but not the greatest I have ever had, just OK. However, the fries were terrible. They were limp & had no seasoning. Avoid the fries. My wife had a salad & it also was flavorless. The local Montreal draft beer was good. Total bill was $73.43 Canadian (airport robbery). Next time I am in Montreal I will order something else or try another place. Service was good. Too bad the food was meh. Not recommended.View more
The sandwich had 3 small pieces of brisket on it for 20 something bucks. Wasn't all that great. Classic airport extortionView more
A really nice smoke house in the airport. There is a great pub like feel to the place & there is a great selection of delicious meals to choose from & the prices are fairly reasonable.View more
Great, fast service & good food for an airport option. Smoked wings were great!View more
Food was decent for an airport restaurant. Waiter was incredibly rude about a mistake on a tip. Only provided additional cash tip to prevent any further altercation between him & my partner.View more
I went in for lunch. The service is excellent, but I ordered the Club Sandwich. The meat was extremely dry & difficult to swallow. The fries were nice & hot & a big portion. The menu is relatively small & the prices are a bit high, but it is the airport. They should have more small plates as the sandwich & fries were a bit too much for me.View more
Typically, I don't expect good food or service at the airport, but this place is by far the worst airport restaurant experience. Food didn't taste like anything at all, & we had to wait so long even tho it was a slow day & lots of empty tablesView more
Great spot for casual dining & great prices. For an airport restaurant this location hits the spot. Pub food, great drinks & service was very fast! Would definitely visit again!View more
I had the smoked turkey & bacon sandwich served on Texas toast. $22. At Pork & Pickle in the Montreal intl airport. The smoked turkey was tasty real sliced turkey, not deli meat. But there was only one slice of bacon in the sandwich. & one skimpy leaf of lettuce. A good sandwich should have 2 slices of bacon so you get some in every part of the sandwich, & thick crisp lettuce. Seemed skimpy for $22. There was more bread than filling.View more
Mehdi, José & Robert give excellent service with a big smile! Best in the Montréal airport! Thanks for bringing joy to your work environment & to your clients!View more
