His Pho is made over 3 days with just beef broth no chemicals or msg. We absolutely loved it. They also have pickled garlic that was outstanding you can add to it. I finished with a mango smoothie. I wish we found this one sooner.
I have tried many many Pho restaurants in Montreal, & Pho Anh has THE BEST beef pho in Montreal. The chef told me it takes him 3 days to make the beef broth & it shows !
Such a great find!! Pho broth was clear & packed with flavor. Not pictured but the egg yolk on the side eaten in the pho broth was divine!! Bot chien was also standout. Very crisp with a creamy center. Bun cha Hanoi was also delicious. Highly recommend this place!!
This is a hidden gem that deserves a lot more visits. Had dinner here right before the closing hour. I ordered B3, beef pho with brisket, beef slices, & the gelatinous connective tissues. With condiments at your hand, the pho is both bursting with flavors & fun to experiment with depending on your palette. According to the owner, who explained to me with great enthusiasm, the pho they make is of the north Vietnamese, notably Hanoi style. They make their broth 3 days in advance, with a lot of filtration such that the broth stays clear during the entire dining experience, & doesn't get muddy from the starch of the rice noodles. The different tissues & cuts of beef together with the broth will make you forget every "fake" pho you had in the past & be genuinely entertained by this bowl right in front of you. Will recommend to anyone visiting Montreal, especially on a rainy & exhausting day.
Pho Anh is in my neighbourhood & I go regularly for the pho, which is by far the best I have been able to find in the city. It h really is exceptional & the owner will give you a social history of pho. His rich broth takesthree days to prepare. Highly recommended
Pho was super tasty. The broth is cooked for 3 days & the owner uses only fresh beef. It reminded me my trip to Vietnam. Rice paper rolls were also very nice. Service was great & attentive. They could work a little bit on a nice decor & atmosphere inside, but overall I'd definitely go back to try more things on the menu.
Pho Anh is a true culinary gem! From the warm welcome to the flavorful pho, every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional. The rich broth, tender beef, & friendly staff made my visit very welcoming. Reasonable prices & a diverse menu make this restaurant a must-visit for lovers of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I can't wait to return for more delicious meals at Pho Anh!
I cannot recommend this Vietnamese restaurant enough! We ordered our usual dishes, B1 - Rare Beef & RC - Steamed Broken Rice Charbroiled Chicken, & they were absolutely amazing. The broth was incredibly clean & flavorful, & for the first time ever, we didn't feel sluggish after indulging in pho. The meats were tender & deliciously chewy. What sets this place apart is their commitment to quality. The owner shared with us that they use only fresh meat & onion to enhance the soup, omitting bean sprouts. Additionally, they provide hot pepper sauce, sliced ginger, & sliced pepper, which added even more depth to our pho experience. We're only staying in Montreal for two days, but we're already planning to revisit this gem. My only wish is for them to offer larger portions for us big foodies! :P
