Review Summary

At Patisserie Bao Bao Dim Sum, reviews highlight soft, fluffy bao buns with a pillow-like texture and a broad range of fillings ranging from spicy pork and beef to green onion and teriyaki chicken, plus sweet options such as custard bao and an egg tart with a HK style character. Prices are described as reasonable and service as quick, making it a convenient quick bite with limited seating that often favors takeout. The experience can vary by item, with many buns praised for texture while some fillings feel mild or underseasoned and a few pastries like mochi mango and taro not impressing every visitor. A noted drawback is a plain white paper underneath the buns that sticks or tears, and in general the glutinous rice in leaves can be underseasoned for some tastes. Overall the place stands out for variety and value in Chinatown, and many would return to try additional items.

Great for a quick bite! The spicy pork bao is spicy & the beef has a nice flavour to it.

Great place for both sweet & savory bao buns. Our top pick was the braised pork. Limited seating, but easy for takeaway.

It is more 33% expensive than Harmony, Jade Restaurant & Coco Bun. They have a bigger selection & it comes in a gimmicky cute shape sometimes (which is probably why they are more expensive) Cute pastry shop but their cold milk tea is $5+. Why is it mor expensive then the warm milk team? How is ice 20% more? They gave me the wrong pork belly bun which is disappointing & it was $7 including tax unfortunately. Overall, 3 stars. I would take my asian mother there but maybe white people from out of town would enjoy looking at the cute hello kitty shapes. The taste was only not as good as their competitors. Take out only usually since they don't really have a dining room

We were craving steam buns, & this place showed up on our search. Filled our craving. The beef was tasty. Pork was OK as well as the teriyaki chicken.

Got the Mo bun, poulet teriyaki, pork, & mango coconut bao buns. Everything was phenomenal. The Mo bun was my favorite. Will absolutely have to come back & try more. The prices were reasonable, service was good, & buns were delectable. The presentation of the dessert buns was adorable. You can't go wrong stopping in here for some quick, savory/sweet/tasty buns!

Everything I ate was amazing & the employees were so nice! Special shout out to the bao. I had the spicy pork & brown sugar red bean & would absolutely purchase both again.
