MMama Khan is bringing the taste of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa to a plate near you. Originally born and raised in a small village in the mountainous regions of Peshawar where she honed her cooking skills.
Let your taste buds be enticed by authenticPeshawari cooking, you will be taken on a culinary journey with flavor's that will leave you coming back for more. Mama emphasizes that in order to taste good food you need the perfect service; and her staff isn't short of making you feel at home.
Mama Khan delivers authentic halal Pakistani cuisine with rich Peshawari flavors, generous portions and the option to adjust spice levels, with standout dishes such as butter chicken, chicken karahi, chapli kebab, biryani, and fresh naan that many reviews describe as delicious and comforting. The service is repeatedly described as friendly and attentive in a welcoming, family like atmosphere, and the restaurant's community efforts through free meals for those in need are highlighted as a meaningful part of the experience. While dining in is praised for flavor and value, some reviews flag inconsistent delivery experiences and occasional long waits or mildly spiced options for those seeking higher heat, yet overall the place is seen as a reliable, beloved spot for authentic desi fare in the city.
Been to every restaurant in the city & this place has really impressed me food quality & quality & the service was excellent, we had the chapli kebab & it' was amazing authentic taste from peshawar's local , the karahi were amazing we had three types of karahi & just enjoyed it , Naan i've never had this type of naan in montreal or toronto , thin crisp hot buttery naan light weight flying naan , i suggest everyone to come here if they visit montreal , i'm definitely coming here as a regular my first time & will be back , Mama khan is a top chef ,
We visit Montreal once a year from Toronto & hit a hidden gem during our recent trip when we came across Mama Khan. We were pleased to know that the business is run by family members from Peshawar, Pakistan. We only ordered chapli kebobs & chicken karahi but wish we could try more. The food was just amazing. Nothing had the commercial label on it from the looks or taste of food. We enjoyed the naans as much as the actual meal. Raza brought our food fresh & in no time. Service was impeccable. We'll be sure to return at our next trip & will definitely recommend to others.
I came by closing time , & they gave me Extra left overs with my order oh my, these guys are the best subhanallah GREAT PRAYER PLACE TOO AFTER YOURE MEAL.. GUYS LISTEN GET ANY OF THERE KARHAI Or their Kababs that's there specialty what there famous for in Montreal. Take my word, these guys are 10/10 great service cold water & good because they don't play music, unless like the Pakistani Harmonica counts Idk , asides from that there's absolutely no music this is a great Karahi place hands down !
I highly recommend this restaurant to all those looking for authentic Pakistani flavours! Ordered the Chapli kabob, chicken Karahi, lamb Karahi, regular naan, tandoori Biryani, & mango Lassi. Everything was cooked perfect & amazing flavours! Special shoutout for the Chapli kabob & naan! The mango lassi was the perfect temperature & flavour!! I would only say the washroom & dining area be updated & expanded **Regular spice level was perfect for non Pakistani family!

Lovely atmosphere at this authentic peshawari cuisine restaurant, the food was so delicious we had chapli kebab & the flavour was so good it made me so nostalgic & took me back to Pakistan, we also had lamb karahi & chicken biryani & the lamb was so tender & Fresh it was finger licking! The mango lassi was absolutely delicious I honestly think they cut some fresh mangoes & made the lassi!! Absolutely loved the experience & will definitely be coming back for more
Amazing food all around. My favorite was the karahi (asked for spicy, with naan), then chapli kebab, then pani puri. The karahi is very flavourful & the meat was very tender. The chapli kebab was excellent & would be really good in a wrap too, as others already mentioned. The pani puri are of excellent quality, with no leakage of the pani at all (but not as spicy as I usually have it).
One of the Best Chapli kebab, mutton butt karahi wa also good. We ordered pakoras & they were really good. Must try pakistani cuisine in Montrea. It's bit expensive though

My friends & I mistakenly went into Mama Khan before opening hours & was treated very kindly by all the staff there. He gave recommendations & gave us the option to see the previous menu. The food was spectacular. As someone who was surrounded by South Asian cuisine growing up, the dishes we got were like a blast to the past. We started off with pani puri, then Peshawri Karahi Chicken, & another meat dish that I forgot the name of. Everything was served on hot plates with sauces on the side. I was very satisfied by the end of my meal & I was so happy to have found an authentic Pakistani restaurant.
Food is decent, karahi is very dry ; we Could notice the flour mixture in the chapli kebab Not a huge fan of the forced 15 percent tip on a 170$ order..
Maybe this is more of a dine in restaurant. We got a take out on a particularly snowy day. Food was okay, expected more out of the chicken karahi. Naan didn't seem freshly made. Hope to try it again in a better season & eat at the restaurant.

The only good food is Chapli kebab. Butter chicken have no taste, biryani is boiled rice with colour, chicken karahi is just flavour less cooked. Was very disappointed. Not even close to pishawari food.
