Very good food. The naan's are their highlight. Tandoori chicken is well prepared too. Although the butter chicken was slightly too sweet. Overall a great restaurant. Would recommend again!
Friendly Multilingual service. Background music at a nice low level. AMAZING food. We were a couple with 4 kids between the ages of 10-15, we had Saag Paneer , Naan, Butter chicken & daal, perefect amount tasty food everyone agreed even the pick eaters. Thanks for an wonderful dinner!

One of the most terrible & humiliating dining experience we ever had. I dined in with my wife & had already ordered Chapli kebab over the phone while I was sorting out parking. When we arrived, we confirmed the order again. When we were asked about naans, I clearly refused in the first place & stated that we had brought my own.
After the food was served & the owner noticed the naans & immediately became aggressive, saying:'Why did you bring your own naans?' He then kept arguing & pressuring us to order naan despite knowing the fact we brought in our own naans everytime. We told clearly that we did not want any & that we already had enough.
Mind you, we do not like your naans because you lack expertise in making them (check the comments by Heena M & Abdul Qadir in particular stating the same & many more).
The most unacceptable part was despite the food already being served, we were aggressively told to'pick up your food & you can leave'. Who has given you this right to treat customers this way, especially regular customers? We travel twice a week from a nearby city to visit Mama Khan & have been recurring visitors, yet this is the disrespect we received. The owner chose hostility & we ended up eating cold food outside in -12°C because of this humiliating behavior.
Shame on you.
We had the butter chicken, lamb kharayi (sp?) & beef chapali kebab with rice biryani & chapati.
They curated the spice expertly. I said we were debutants but spice curious & they delivered a palate challenge that gives me confidence to push further next time.
will definitely be back for what looks like a metre long naan..
Mama Khan Restaurant in Montreal offers a flavorful taste of Pakistani cuisine. The chicken karahi was absolutely amazing-rich, tender, & full of authentic spices. The chicken biryani was delicious with perfectly cooked rice & well-seasoned chicken. A special highlight was the fresh garlic naan, soft & fragrant, the perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving traditional & satisfying Pakistani food in the city.
Would 100% go again & again ! The food is amazing, good quality & good price for what it is. I ate chapli kebab, garlic naan, beans & a mango lassi. (Maybe the mango lassi was a tad too small for the price of 7$)
This restaurant is great for two, & probably only for 2 or above. It seems like the dishes were made to be shared for the most part, as the servings are really big & you have to buy the rice separately & anything else for that matter. Nothing comes in a bundle.
The service was amazing, the waiter was really nice, explained the dishes & concept really well. He gave us a good introduction to the meal served & good suggestions.

Nice find in MTL while traveling with family. Ordered Butt karahis (chicken was better than lamb) which were very similar to those found in Mississauga ie passed our Karahi bar :). Also had their Chapli Kababs which were really good! All that goes with nice naans. Def a must recommend
loved the food but would like to highlight the amazing service as well!! the staff was so nice & attentive. def recommend the butter chicken & the garlic naan

One of the best spots in montreal. I had an appetizing lunch with my family. Having their amazing chicken Karahi so flavourful & delicious also their kebab chapli was well made adding amazing texture & topping along side with their Naan which was HUGE. I wish i can say more but im having hardtime writing of how full I got coming out of Mama Khan. Amazing!
This is the actually one of the best desi halal restaurant in Canada. I went there with my whole family & we ordered several dishes. All the dishes were really delicious. The naan was perfectly baked. Our waiter was also very nice & funny. I had an amazing experience. Im only going to this restaurant next time i visit montreal. 5/5!
Mama Khan is a traditional Pakistani Cuisine Restaurant. It has both indoor & outdoor sitting places. In good weather you can enjoy street views while enjoying your food outside. The inside hall is reasonably spacious & can have a goop dinner of 30-40 peoples easily. The restaurant ambiance is quite basic in indoor sitting & should be improved. They are displaying a repeating recording of Pakistani style of cooking of their dishes. This is a good idea but the cooking video has been shot in not a very clean kitchen, this rather is very bad. In a civic society like Canadian society, please present a very clean kitchen video. This point is added for your improvement. However, their food is too good. We had Smoosa Chat, Pakoras & Peshawari Chicken Karahi with Karak Chai & Naans. Smoosa Chat was very good, Pakoras needs to be improved a bit but Peshawari Chicken Karahi was awesome. I am a visitor from Pakistan, we rarely find such a perfect Karahi in Pakistan. Stay prospering & keep it up.
