Food was tasty. However, the service was just awful-it was basically self-service. I had to get the menus myself, carry the dinnerware with me when we decided to change tables, & even get the cutlery myself after the food had finally arrived, what felt like an eternity later.
As bad as that was, it was nothing compared to the state of the bathroom & the overall cleanliness of the place. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I wish I had taken pictures so they couldn't even attempt to deny it. Suffice it to say that the toilet was left with the waste & filth of who knows how many previous customers still there for everyone to see. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in ages, & don't even get me started on the sink-washing your hands there would probably have left them dirtier than before.
As if that weren't bad enough, when I brought it to the staff's attention, they completely dismissed my concerns, saying that since many people use the bathroom, it's'normal' for it to be in that condition. That response, along with the overall indifference with which they run their business, was honestly shocking.
I genuinely regret eating there. Given their negligent attitude toward the cleanliness of their common areas & the complete lack of concern they showed for basic hygiene, I can only imagine the state of the kitchen. Frankly, I consider myself lucky that I didn't get sick after eating there.

I went last week with a friend & the moment we sat down we were served with ice cold water, which was amazing as it was 30 degrees that day
The waiter was very attentive & gave us another bottle 2 seconds after we finished the first one, it was the first time I didn't have to look around for staff & ask them for a refill
After we ordered it wasnt a long wait to get our food & the server insisted we let him know if anything was missing & was always easy to reach

The vibe of the restaurant was so nostalgic, I can't pinpoint exactly what it was but i think it was a mix of the decor, the music, & the families eating together. The music was not loud & we were able to talk comfortably for an hour, after eating we stayed awhile because it was so comfortable
As for the food it was very affordable, I paid the same amount for homemade food & a cozy seat that I would pay for a sandwich at a random takeout spot
The pani puri itself made me give a 5 star, I will be going back & getting 2 orders of it, super crunchy, super fresh, it was my favorite
Then we ordered 2 dishes ; chicken haleem & palak paneer with garlic naans
We had half of each & were full, so not only did we have a great experience at a restaurant , we had leftovers to take home
To top it off Mama Khan has been very vocal on their tiktok account regarding social issues & spends time giving back to the community which makes me want to support the business even more 🌸

This place was amazing, the atmosphere felt luxurious & cozy at the same time, the food was insane, we got the chicken karahi & it was amazing! The butter naan was fluffy & soft. The waiter was very nice & the wait was not long at all, I would definitely come here again.
Nous avons découvert ce restaurant par hasard, & nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Découverte totale de certaines saveurs. Je recommande une visite ! Le cadre n'est pas extra mais l'objectif est culinaire donc ce n'est pas un soucis.
My partner was hugging the toilet the next day from the CHANAS! Not related to spice at all. The chicken karahi was decent. Bear in mind, there are NO veggies in the vegetable Biryani. Just start calling it plain Biryani rice, because that's what it is.
Incredible food all around, reminded us of home & mom's cooking. Perfect for whenever you're feeling homesick or want a taste of authentic Pakistani food. Will return whenever I'm in Montreal next.
The worst Pakistani food i have ever eaten, was a long day after we arrived to Montreal via flights, dined in hoping for some delicious food, the naan was tougher than a rubber, biriyani was just rice snd meat no flavour at all, the curries were absolutely bombarded with tomato & salt, disappointed at its peak, will never come agajn
