We are two physicians went to this awful Pakistani restaurant. I am from India. She's from Pakistan. She was excited to take me to a Pakistani restaurant. I went with her to this awful restaurant'MAMA KHAN'. We were visiting Montreal. Originally we are from Boston, MA USA.
First & foremost, I'm not sure it is a Pakistani restaurant or it it is run by Afghani people.
The first order was Samosa. It was burnt outside cooked in high heat, so when we opened it one layer of Maida was raw inside. The potato inside was black & had a weird taste. We were hungry so we hate the outside part of the Dough, although burnt.
Second order was lassi- it smelled something awful. I drank one gulp & didn't touch it again.
The third order was chicken haleem but it appeared to me the chef forgot to put the chicken- it tasted like dal & wheat. Although it was not that bad. I ate it as if I'm eating dal.
The third order was lamb charsi Karahi. I could not eat even one piece. It was not cooked at all.
I packed the lamb as by now I had lost faith & didn't want to leave the entire untouched dish. I thought these guys may serve my left on table dish to someone else. We took the left over food & put it in a trash.
The Nan was not bad except one fourth of the naan was not properly cooked, so we discarded that portion & ate the rest of the naan with the'DAL HALEEM'🤣
Service- the kid was from Afghanistan & was decent. He was polite.

Samosa was not cooked, haleem was awful & lamb in lamb karahi was hard like rock. Never going back ever.
Edit after owner reply. Thanks alot for reminding me of Nan too. I forgot to mention that Nan was raw. Btw lassi was also awful smelling so bad that my husband almot had vomiting after taking a sip.
We packed away all the food because we couldn't eat & was thinking to give to some homeless but I throw away as I decided not to give that hard rock lamb to even any homeless.
One of the best pakistani restaurants in the city. Love the duo paratha & lamb stew!
Enjoyed the minced meat kebab & paratha. The bright pink rosewater drink wasn't really for me. Wish they had a lamb option that didn't take 30 minutes to prepare.
Pleasant & accommodating service for our large group on a weekday.
Not IT! Neither the lamb was cooked well nor was the masala. & it costed 30$!!
Incredibly delicious food. Butt lamb karahi & chana samosa are a must try
We had the butter chicken, lamb kharayi (sp?) & beef chapali kebab with rice biryani & chapati.
They curated the spice expertly. I said we were debutants but spice curious & they delivered a palate challenge that gives me confidence to push further next time.
will definitely be back for what looks like a metre long naan..
First time trying Pakistani food & it was a pleasure! The Chapni kebab was succulent, crispy & full of flavour. The butt lamb was delicious, creamy, buttery, tomatoey, an expolosion of flavours. I must say the lamb was a bit fatty but overall, we had a great meal & will definitely be back! Also the service was impeccable, attentive, you can tell there is passion & soul in this place. Thank you!
