Le Petit Dep comes across as a cozy, photogenic cafe and small shop in Old Montreal, blending coffee, pastries and a curated range of local goods and souvenirs in a compact, charming space that many visitors find welcoming and lively. Reviewers praise the warm atmosphere, the historic interior and the vibe that makes it a great spot to chat or grab a snack, while noting that seating is limited and the shop can get crowded. Drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, matcha and chai are often highlighted for quality, and pastries such as almond croissants and scones earn high marks, with the shop area offering chocolates, jams and other local products. Some experiences mention excellent and friendly service, while others describe occasional delays or inconsistent service. Several reviews point out practical downsides such as a no laptop policy in certain areas, limited toilets, occasional construction outside and a higher price point. Overall, Le Petit Dep is seen as a charming, must visit place for atmosphere and a varied selection of treats, but it may feel touristed, not ideal for long work sessions, and not every item hits the mark.
A cozy cafe in the heart of Montreal's old port. Walking down the street, the vintage store front is eye catching. You go inside to find a warm homey spot with a variety of local products from Quebec. The coffee & bakery was delicious. You can pick up other things like chocolate, jam, & many souvenirs

Warm atmosphere, quaint decor, kind service a nice selection of souvenirs. Variety of foods.
Overall a lovely place to meet up & if youre visiting a great place to get some trinkets & snacks for your stay.
I have to say could use another table as a lot of souvenirs take up the space. Keep in mind this would eba great place to chat but not do work as it is a no computer cafe. Also wifi is limited to 30min at a time
Over all great cafe for tourist & to enjoy a snack to start the day
The charming storefront instantly caught my eye - it truly looks like something straight out of a storybook. ✨
Inside, the café is warm, lively, & full of little treasures. Not only is the atmosphere cozy, but the shop itself is a dream to explore.
You can find anything you want here - from Québécois mini-books & funny local expressions to handmade chocolates, postcards, magnets, plush toys, wooden decorations, & so many adorable gifts. It feels like a mix between a café & a tiny, magical general store. 🎁✨
We had the hot chocolate, which was rich & comforting, & a mushroom & onion scone that was warm & flaky.
If you love cozy cafés, cute souvenirs, & the feeling of discovering something new in every corner, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back. 🤍
Surprisingly pleasant despite being in such a busy touristy area! I love that they're open late & still serving everything on the menu. Look deeper into the menu, there's a few things like soft serve ice cream you won't except! I got the Ube Latte & it was truly amazing!! I great place to sit for a while, the workers don't rush you at all. Lots of souvenirs the take a look at as well.
A charming little hidden store in the Old Port; perfect for wandering into while exploring the cobblestone streets. You can find all sorts of souvenirs & small treasures inside, making it a lovely stop for gifts or keepsakes. The hot chocolate is decent but quite basic, so don't expect an authentic creamy French-style one. Still, the cozy atmosphere & friendly vibe make it worth a visit.
The London Fog & scones are amazing! Love the atmosphere of this space, had a great selection of souvenirs as well. Very cute, I came back twice while visiting Montreal just to enjoy the atmosphere. Also has nice lunch foods to go.

Was a random visit but was a warm visit to le petit dep. We were walking around for some time & wanted to take a break so when we searched for a spot nearby, we found this little cafe to stop by. Both hubby & I got the earl grey, & we both thought they were great. Don't think it's a good cafe to do long laptop work but it's a cute spot for a chat with a friend or first date? Up to u. Had random local products for u to check out in the shop as well. Not bad for souvenirs. Either way, Good drinks, good cookie. Cute vibe :)
Endroit étonnant, on dirait un petit musée de brique à braque, il y a plein de petit chose sympa à acheter comme souvenir & produit local! Très bien pour lire ou retrouver des amis mais pas du tout pour travailler, dommage
