I was looking for a coffee shop open on Christmas Day since most places in Canada were closed. I stumbled upon Le Petit Dep, which is popular with tourists in Montreal because it's right beside Notre Dame Basilica. The exterior looks very aesthetic, & inside there was a long line. The space is small, so you may need to wait to sit. I ordered a latte & their almond croissant, & both were excellent. The croissant was worth every bite & good value for money. After, I checked their shop & bought some chocolates for friends. I didn't see the prices & was shocked when the bill came to $130 for 8 chocolates, lesson learned! Overall, the experience was very enjoyable. Great coffee, amazing croissant, beautiful spot. I'll definitely come back but will ask prices first next time.
Been here several years ago & remembered the place fondly as a beautiful cozy taste breakfast place. It still looks nice but baked goods & prepared sandwiches are beyond stale. They were also selling'older croissants' for 50% off, we did not partake… based on the age of our sandwiches & scone, cannot imagine how old those croissants are.
This is a fun & classic cafe! Their snacks & desserts are delicious, but I recommend the cupcake or chocolate croissant. They also have refrigerated & healthier options too if you need a quick health breakfast like chia seed pudding. We stopped here multiple times for a variety of things & the service was great. It's inside is very unique & worth a stop for a coffee or snack. They're open late night too, so if you need a last minute wine bottle or dessert check it out.
Adorable & cozy cafe. The baristas are very kind & patient. One of them helped me find a place that sells stamps for postcards.
Their soy cortado was a smooth & bold treat. Croissant & Mushroom Scone are equally solid choices. The croissant was flaky crisp & the scone was soft textured with suttle mushroom onion flavors. Love their front window section adorned with animated stuffed ornaments for sale. They even have a section for local treats & postcards.
I returned on my last day & had their flat white (w/ oat milk) & chocolate croissant. Both were amazing. This was by far my favourite cafe visited in Old Montréal. 💜☕?
Cute café with a shop for visitors to peruse. I visited late at night & only got a hot chocolate with my croissant. Seating is limited, & also anti-laptop. A nice place to enjoy a snack, check your phone, or chat with a friend.
Popped in here on a very cold day visiting Old Montreal & had a delightful snack. The cappuccinos & the almond croissant were all OUTSTANDING, 5-star, full stop. Staff were friendly & on the hop. It's a bit tight in the shop so you should be prepared to take out. That said, if you find a seat, the trinkets & decorations add a cool vibe to the place. 5/5 would recommend.
The atmosphere of this cafe is beautiful & charming. I ordered a hot chocolate & an espresso with almond croissant. The hot chocolate was good & not too sweet & . The espresso however was not nowhere near what I expected from a classic espresso. It was very acidic & the volume was very little overall you could barely call it espresso unless there are different definitions for this beverage.
I visited this cafe yesterday & had an amazing experience over there . Place is small but cozy & i really liked their spinach croissant & vanilla oat latte. They even did latte art on my drink. I would definitely come back when i visit Montreal again. The staff was friendly & quick.
Croissant was buttery but overdone. Coffee was delicious & so was the quinoa. Everything was pre-made. Service was ok.
Cozy café featuring lots of drinks, pastries, & local goods such as chocolates, postcards, & hats. The drinks are very good & the almond croissant is fantastic. The layout can be a bit awkward, with a couple very big tables in the middle & nowhere good to accommodate a line or people who are waiting on coffee or food but don't have seats.
I am, at this moment, eating the best almond croissant I have eaten in my entire existence.
