Le Petit Dep comes across as a cozy, charming spot in Old Montreal where a mix of coffee, pastries, and a small gift shop creates a welcoming, European vibe; guests praise quality drinks like lattes, chai lattes, matcha, and iced options, and pastries such as almond croissants, caneles, and cookies, often paired with friendly service and a warm ambiance, though some visits note crowded small spaces, limited seating, and occasional slow service; a few reviews flag higher prices, variability in pastry freshness, and reminders that the cafe is not a place for long laptop work, with a no-computer policy in certain areas, plus logistical quirks like construction outside and no toilets in some locations; despite these, it remains a popular, photogenic stop for tourists and locals who want a quick bite, a memorable coffee, or a visit to the shop for local treats.
Le Petit Dep is more than an absolutely charming coffee shop; it also sells sweet goodies, cold cooler drinks, & cute crafts. Each beverage is thoughtfully hand-crafted & served with a smile. This shop is a true gem. Highly recommended!

This place isn't just a café it also feels like an incredibly aesthetic boutique market. Every detail inside is very well thought out: the décor, product placement, & overall atmosphere are truly'Instagram-worthy,' yet still very warm & inviting. What I liked most is that even though it's small, it has a lot of character. Sitting down for a coffee, looking around, & discovering little things is really enjoyable. It's especially a perfect stop for a break while exploring Old Montréal.

Le Petit Dep has that easy charm you don't really expect- you walk in for something small & somehow end up lingering a bit.
It's a compact space, a little tucked away, with a cozy, thoughtfully put-together feel. Kind of like a corner store, but elevated. The shelves are a mix of familiar snacks & more interesting finds, so you naturally slow down & look around instead of just grabbing & going.
The coffee's reliable, & the pastries are fresh & straightforward- nothing overly fancy, just done right. It's the kind of place where even a quick stop feels like a small upgrade to your day.
What I liked most is the overall vibe. It's relaxed, a little quirky, & feels genuine rather than curated for the sake of it. Easy to drop into, whether you need a quick coffee or just feel like picking up something a bit different.
I work as a delivery guy & i was getting 2 boxes for them from a chocolate store
Had to drive 45 min to arrive to them getting them the order soo that they can do their job
But when i arrived i asked to use the bathroom & the employee told me i can't use it even though i was going to order something after i finish
I never faced something like this in Canada before were the employee can't use a bathroom
& i wish no one will face something like this
My review is based on the service & the atmosphere it's not based on the food because i didn't try it
Wish they'll improve their service!
What a cozy place. Delicious cookies & pastries, as well as the coffee. A great variety of local products & souvenirs. The staff were very kind & thoughtful.
Nothing is priced!!! Out of all the beautiful made in Quebec specialties items ( just what I was looking for) not one was priced. The girl suggested I just bring it to the cash she will let me know how much it costs but that was not going to work as I wanted to know the cost of everything! Coffee was excellent unfortunately bought nothing, did not have the energy to keep inquiring!
