I had a 2 day trip to MTL. Chose to come here both mornings for breakfast. Really tasty meals & a great vibe. Would recommend for locals & travellers. Prices are higher than a run of the mill brunch spot but you do get what you pay for.
Wow. The Canton dish served in a skillet was like a warm hug. What a beautiful first breakfast to have in Canada. The ham, bacon, beans, roast potatoes & even the toast were scrumptious. The lovely friendly staff served me with a smile & were very kind.

Le Cartet was the perfect breakfast spot to kick off the day, especially on the morning of New Year's. Great atmosphere, relaxed but polished, & exactly the kind of place you want to start the day without feeling rushed.
The food was excellent across the board, with a menu that works equally well for adults & kids-which isn't always easy to find. The Nordic menu option was the standout for me & absolutely worth ordering. Everything we had was well prepared & thoughtfully presented.
Service was top-notch: attentive, friendly, & efficient without hovering.
Easy place to recommend & one we'll definitely return to next time we're in Montreal.
Overall, an amazing restaurant for breakfast. The prices felt slightly higher than most other places however the quality was AMAZING. The portion sizes were good, we attended several times over our visit. I would recommend
I ordered scrambled eggs with asparagus, which included bacon (i was told by my waiter), potatoes & a small fruit cup, along with a decaf latte.
The eggs were served runny & cold, the latte was luke warm at best & the bacon was a 5,50 addition.
I was by myself & was in the restaurant for more than an hour. The young man who waited on me was inattentive, slow & i had to ask for my check 3 times.
Worst breakfast experience, EVER!!!

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The pancakes were delicious & the Lake Brome was perfect. Our potatoes were excellent too. Service was great & I'd highly recommend going here.
Fantastic breakfast. Definitely try the maple latte, very delicious. Insanely busy on Sat/Sun, but stopped here on a Tuesday morning & it was so quiet.
The Lac Brome (duck confit eggs benedict) was delicious. The duck & the orange hollandaise was the perfevt pairing. The yolks were perfectly runny. I also got the breakfast martini which had a nice cinnamon & maple flavour to it. Almost reminded me of an egg nog.
The service was also super friendly & fast. Our server was always smiling. There are a lot of fancy places in Old Montreal. This one felt friendly & cozy, yet maintained its upscale nature.
I will visit this place whenever I come to Montreal! For the first time, I had the same breakfast menu, designed & served so differently! Each dish was thoughtfully curated, served hot & cooked to perfection. & I rarely get talked into buying drinks, but Stephanie was the most engagingand enthusiastic hostess I met to date. We did reach $100 in our bill for two, including tip though, yet the experience was worth it. Just hope they fix the loose screws in all chairs. Feels risky.
My favorite breakfast spot in the city. Great classics, generous portions, excellent coffee, great & professional service. Perfect for business breakfast or lunch, catch up with friends or people watching on the weekend. Inside or outside. Also good takeout options.
Went in for a breakfast, a bit "school cafeteria" wibes from seating perspective but food was great (took a pulled pork grilled cheese) & the staff was super friendly. Would definitely go again to check out other breakfast options :)
