The lobster sandwich is bland, items are overpriced, service is slow most of the time & waiters are weird. One morning there were only 2 customers & they refused to take our order at the end of the counter, & made us walk to the other side of the counter to take it there instead. In the end the same person went there to attend to us. Not very logical & rude. Limited seating & had the potential to be great, but not well managed.
Great location in the historic World Trade Center covered promenade. Seating available in the promenade. Bagels are made on site - so many are warm out of the ovens. Recommend a classic bagel (Sesame or Everything) with one of the interesting flavors of spreads.
You must go inside the shopping mall to find this wonderful place! You won't see it walking on the street. Great fresh baked bagels (oven right there)with any type of topping you can imagine. Plenty of public seating in the mall which is worth a visit in its own. (Pictures of the mall)
Hot salmon on a bagel is a crime. What are they thinking? They just threw a prepared sandwich in toaster oven without even asking.
As a New Yorker, I came in with high bagel expectations-& while the famed Montreal bagel didn't quite hit the same high notes, I can still appreciate its charm. These are not your oversized, doughy deli bagels; they're smaller, denser, slightly sweet, & wood-fired for a subtle crisp. It felt more like a junior version of what I'm used to, but that's more about style than quality.
What really stood out was the service-warm, attentive, & efficient. My bagel was served hot, fresh from the oven, & paired with a generous tea selection that made for a cozy, unhurried breakfast.
All in all, while the bagel itself may not have sparked a flavor revolution for this New Yorker, the experience was authentically Montreal: warm, welcoming, & full of character. Worth a visit for the cultural experience alone.
I have passed by this Fabrique de Bagel inside le "Centre du Commerce Mondial", numerous times, an area that was created simply to be discovered. It is unique in its own way & if you are looking for taking breathtaking pictures inside a building, then look no further. Let's get back to bagels. There are bagels & then bagels. It was early morning on Saturday & the mere thought of sweet smell of freshly made bagel woke me up from my deep sleep. I went straight to the Fabrique de Bagel & the aroma of warm bread filling the air wrapped around me so softly, insisting that this must become a morning ritual. So many cream cheese variations - simply an "embarras du choix" that it took me over a minute to decide. I finally opted for the smoked salmon cream cheese on a sesame bagel. Service was very pleasant, fast & friendly. The bagel went through a revolving oven & eventually gets loaded with cream cheese. I think it was more like I ate cream cheese with bagel. The cream cheese was smooth, rich with the right hint of smoked salmon which melted perfectly in my warm bagel. There are a few tables & chairs that are close by that I can sit & have a bite to satisfy my craving. You will not look at bagels the same way, ever again. What I like about this place is the buzz, the cleanliness & the sophisticated atmosphere.
Great place & pretty clean but the food is not that great; bagels are mid & small overall is an overrated place. The bagels are already done they just put it in an oven. The crossaints had flys around them
The variety of bagels & options they offer is impressive. They make their bagels fresh, every morning; if you get there for breakfast, you can even order your bagel right out of the oven. You can choose from different flavors of cream cheese, jam, ham, turkey, bacon, avocado, cold-cuts, etc. They also offer fresh juices, granola bars, muffins, cookies, yogurt parfait, fruits, nuts, etc. I ordered smoked salmon bagel & enjoyed every bite of it.
