La carte propose des plats d'inspiration fusion asiatique mettant en valeur des ingrédients frais comme sashimi, morue et wagyu, accompagnés de cocktails créatifs et de vins bien choisis; de nombreux convives recommandent les sushis Bluefin, les dumplings et les plats de poisson à partager. Le service est globalement attentif et compétent, avec des serveurs et barmen qui savent conseiller et personnaliser l'expérience, même si certains retours mentionnent des moments d'attente ou des petits accrocs ponctuels. L'expérience est souvent décrite comme mémorable et digne d'une occasion spéciale, avec des gestes du chef et une attention chaleureuse, et beaucoup apprécient aussi le cadre et la véranda lumineuse. Bien que le coût soit élevé, nombreux estiment que la qualité et l'ambiance justifient le prix et annoncent leur retour pour tester d'autres plats; quelques expériences au lunch ou au service peuvent toutefois varier et gagner en fluidité.
My daughter & I were staying across the street & in a rush with no reservations were seated in at the bar & had the most amazing food eggplant, 2 orders of dumplings & sushi. Service was outstanding we were only in montreal for a few days but I would not hesitate to make a reservation & dine here again.
It was just delicious!!!! I would go again tomorrow, it was that good!
The chicken dumpling, with the beef egg rolls a delight. & for the main I had the chicken & the ribs, both were amazing too. & the desserts are also very delicious. My fav is the caramel dream 😍 I recommand. Great staff, great service, we had a very very good service. Thank you!
I really recommand for a date or even a family, birthday or business diner. Quality food! ****update I went again one week later I kept thinking about their food🤤🤤🤤🤤 it was delicioussssss again I would go again ASAP!🤤 the service was impeccable again! Truly an amazing restaurant! Thank you!

Very nice ambience. We tried the duck confit rice, the tuna egg roll & the firecracker dumplings. Everything was incredibly tasty & a bit unexpected. Loved it!
Avons beaucoup aimé notre repas! Délicieux dumplings, salade romaine grillée....tout était excellent! Le prix des consommation était abordable....très beau décor l immeuble est magnifique, la musique est devenue assez forte après un moment ce qui rendait la conversation, même à deux , moins fluide....en arrivant on nous a dit que nous avions deux heures pour manger mais au bout d à peine une heure trente nous avons senti subtilement qu il était temps de payer & de partir..je n avais pas tout à fait fini mon vin....les plats sont desservis assez rapidement...avoir su j aurais mangé les radis qui y restaient...
The food was superb, & we were treated to a culinary masterpiece. The ginger lobster was divine, & the caviar wagyu dumplings were the single best dumplings I have ever had in my life. The service was excellent, with the perfect balance of attentive & interactive. The head chef, Olivier, was incredibly personable, & we will most definitely come back again.

Servis par le très sympathique Félix, tout a été parfait. Six plats partagés en 3 services: Nigiri saumon royal & tataki de boeuf, Hagao crevettes (dumpling) & tartare de thon (en rouleau de papier fin), riz frit aux crevettes géantes & aubergines chinoises. MIAM! Dormir, vivre &... manger au Jatoba! :)
Wonderful atmosphere. Sat at Sushi bar & watched the chefs make the sushi we ate. Made for a fun experience. Food was very tasty. We tried Octopus Dumplings, Blue Fin Tartare, King Salmon Roll & Beef Tataki. All had wonderful flavor & plating was great. Really enjoyed.

Service was amazing. Chilean Sea Bass is out of this world. We had the nigiri salmon & Maki sushi, the firecracker dumplings, & the shrimp fried rice. We enjoyed the Maki sushi a little more than the nigiri but both were great. The firecracker dumplings & shrimp had a little heat but not overbearing making both delicious. Overall a great dining experience.
Le service de valet a fait notre soirée en commençant! Service impeccable, beau décor & ambiance. Les suhsis & dumplings ont été nos plats favoris parmi tout ceux qu'on a partager. J'y retournerais sans aucun doute! Restaurant haut de gamme faut s'attendre à une facture en conséquence.
Jatoba is hands down one of my top restaurants in Montreal! The atmosphere & food & on point, perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. We always get a lot of small plates to share & out top picks are the Dynamite (spicy steamed dumplings), the eggplant is out of this world unique & the tuna tataki is the best I've ever had!!! Great cocktails & wine of course :)

The food was excellent & consistency every time. Black cod was super fluffy & delicious. Secret is in the miso sauce.
Shrimps Dumplings & Brussels sprouts chips & the duck confit & sea bass!! Excellent. The waiter remembered us from 5 months ago & the service was top notch.
Food & ambiance was really good however the dishes are way over priced. The King mushrooms were by far the best entrees the rest such as the the fried dumplings felt pre prepared & warmed up ready to serve. The main dishes is where they really take advantage of the customers.We ordered pop Corn shrimp which was little bits of fried shrimps for 40$ & it was nothing special..one roll of salmon sushi cost 32$ which again was good but but crazy priced. Alll this to say the our bill was 640$ for 4 people which included 4 drink's+ a bottle of wine 60$.+ Tip = 720$. Nice place & good food but by no means worth the price... All this to say been there & done that but probably would never go back just based on the fact that they take advantage of their clients.
Accueil & service attentionné... Très bonne connaissance du menu & des plats..! Nourriture de qualité exceptionnelle, fraîcheur du poisson remarquable.

Dining in the time of COVID 19: Aside from the discreet protective plastic mouth guards that the waiters were sporting, one would never suspect that a Pandemic has shifted Jatoba's dining experience. Our table on the garden terrace was so perfect & tucked away from all other patrons. Our waiter was lovely, skilled, personable, & professional. The food was AMAZING! The lobster was delicious, the dumplings sublime, & the Chirashi sushi bowl was on point! This restaurant is very special & so beautifully decorated. They are taking great care to keep their patrons & staff safe & clean. We adore Jatoba!
Nous avions commandé dumplings & le crevettes avec aubergine pané avec panko.
Les dumplings á la vapeur étaient délicieux, mais les crevettes étaient trop salés.
