En entrée, ricotta avec focaccia hors de ce monde. La touche de truffe ajoute tout un sens à la tartinade. Servi avec huile d'olive de haute qualité. Mon coup de coeur pour ce soir.
En souper, j'ai goûté les tagliatelles noires avec mini pieuvres. Elles etaient servies avec sauce rouge. Bien que les pâtes étaient un peu cuites, on comprend la difficulté avec l'encre de sèche que malheureusement on ne goûte peu. Néanmoins, j'ai été absolument surpris par les câpres & olives. Je dois mentionner que le serveur nous a recommandé les gnocchis, qui sont de renommée. Clairement nous les essaierons à notre prochaine visite (car oui, il faut plusieurs visites pour expérimenter ce restaurant).
La sélection des vins est très variée & absolument interessant.
Nota bene, le tiramisu est autant succulent. Crémeux, comme un nuage.
Quentin était notre serveur ce soir. Un vrai professionnel. Il connait ses vins & tous les plats qu'il présente nous donne l'eau à la bouche. Je lui donne 5 étoiles & j'ajouterai une 6e si c'était possible.
Assurément, un des meilleurs restaurants italiens de Montréal.

excellent food & service. will come back definitely. love the tiramisu & ricotta with honey & black truffle. the white fish is just perfect with the spinach. nothing to complain.
On est allé 2 fois à ce restaurant (hier soir & il y a 2 ans). C'est vraiment excellent. Hier, on a partagé en entrée la ricotta & un plat de pâtes & on a pris comme plat principal l'agneau & les côtelettes de porc. On a vraiment tout adoré. En prime, les serveurs sont sympathiques & donnent de bons conseils.
Je leur souhaite du succès pour l'avenir. Toutefois, avec quelques gnocchis de ricotta à 35$ & autres prix démesurés sur la carte, j'ai des doutes sur leur longévité. Les plats étaient tous bien apprêtés mais aucun wow de notre groupe de 4. L'espresso en face chez San Siméon a encore un prix "italien". On aurait du s'en inspirer...
We really enjoyed Impasto! The waiters were friendly & helpful, & because we had a reservation, they gave us a nice seat in the window. The food & presentation was excellent! We especially enjoyed the ricotta & honey with focaccia appetizer & the organic Quebecois syrah that was suggested. Espresso & cannoli was a nice finish. Overall excellent quality for the price. We highly recommend & hope to return!
We had just a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We were in town for the solar eclipse & wandering through Little Italy in search of an Italian restaurant. We walked into Impasto & though they appeared completely full, they settled us at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Nicholas & Anthony were the staff members who assisted us all evening. They were very helpful with the wine & drink selection. We basically just let them pick our antipasto & dinner. Charles was the chef & he answered numerous questions through the meal. We started with the tuna & veal plate & then for entree we shared the mushroom parmesan ricotta gnocchi. We eat out a lot & I can honestly say it has been quite a while since I've had a meal that good. I have a feeling just about everything on their menu tastes this good. I wish I lived nearer! Thank you to Charles & Nicholas & Anthony for giving us a very enjoyable & memorable evening. It may honestly be worth the 21-hour drive from Minnesota to come back just for this restaurant!

We were walking in the street & decided to try this place, it looked cozy from the outside. Seating area is good, a bit crowded & tables close to each other like every other restaurant in Montreal. Service was amazing, the staff really did their best. Food was delicious, ordered the chicken, & a kind of pasta. Both were great, I recommend also trying the Ricotta cheese with honey appetizer. The only down side for me was that the menu is a bit limited.
