The food quality & service were great, but the portions were quite small. For an italian place, it's rare that we leave still hungry especially after spending well over 250$ for 2 people... Price/portion ratio wasn't really worth it in the end. I don't mind paying that much, but I would expect much better portions for what we paid.
Good food; but oh boy they could have been a "bit" more generous with their pasta plates . Italian food is normally good portions. definitely not here . Cmon Stefano

Best Italian cuisine i've ever had. Staff were kind & attentive, quick to help with a wine pairing. First night of a new menu & they knocked it out of the park. Will be back.
We had just a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We were in town for the solar eclipse & wandering through Little Italy in search of an Italian restaurant. We walked into Impasto & though they appeared completely full, they settled us at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Nicholas & Anthony were the staff members who assisted us all evening. They were very helpful with the wine & drink selection. We basically just let them pick our antipasto & dinner. Charles was the chef & he answered numerous questions through the meal. We started with the tuna & veal plate & then for entree we shared the mushroom parmesan ricotta gnocchi. We eat out a lot & I can honestly say it has been quite a while since I've had a meal that good. I have a feeling just about everything on their menu tastes this good. I wish I lived nearer! Thank you to Charles & Nicholas & Anthony for giving us a very enjoyable & memorable evening. It may honestly be worth the 21-hour drive from Minnesota to come back just for this restaurant!
I came here for my birthday & was blown away by the food. One of the best Italian restaurants in Montreal, if not THE best. I also loved the vibe & decor. Highly recommend!
My new favourite place to go to for Italian food in Montreal. The food, service, & wine selections are fantastic. Will definitely be visiting when I return.

Great selection of Italian food, as opposed to basic pasta & pizza options you get elsewhere. The plating was beautiful & the food tasted amazing. Would highly recommend
Fantastic service & food. The space is smallish & very personal, the wait staff was considerate & affable. Highly recommend making plans to visit this unique place for great Italian food.
