Italian cuisine in the heart of Little Italy. For the price, I expected much better. The cacio e pepe was disappointing-the pasta was undercooked & not al dente at all, & the sauce was quite bitter. On the other hand, the beef tenderloin carpaccio was absolutely delicious.

We finally made it to Impasto. A very solid restaurant that serves authentic Italian cuisine. Service was a standout, with our waiter who was very knowledgeable & friendly. The highlights for me were the baked clams & the whipped ricotta with pesto. My wife loved the carpaccio & enjoyed the pasta even though she thought they put too much pepper on the pasta. We will be returning, Impasto is a staple to Little Italy.

The food was good & well prepared, but the pricing felt unfair for what was offered. Paying 34-38 CAD for pasta dishes in that place felt excessive, especially once taxes & tip were added. Overall, the value for money was disappointing.

Had an awesome meal at Impasto! They fit me in for a late seating as a walk-in, & the food & wine were excellent. Beautifully balanced food - I can taste the inspiration from Italy but with a modern twist, & enjoyed the pasta & tuna crudo. The service was a real highlight - they run a very tight ship, the team works so well together & everything feels in flow, which makes for a relaxing atmosphere. My favourite part was the dessert they surprised me with 😍 5 stars 🌟

We went to this restaurant & there were several empty tables, but the server told us they were all'reserved' & that we couldn't sit. We were about to leave, but decided to check OpenTable just in case, & saw that reservations were fully open for that same time slot. So we made a reservation on the spot, went back to her, & she suddenly looked annoyed & said,'Well, you can only sit at the bar.'
When we asked why, she changed her explanation, saying they were short on staff. But honestly, whether we sit at the bar or the table right behind it doesn't change the number of customers… so that made no sense. Not to mention, a few minutes later, several groups came in & were seated at the tables we originally wanted.
As for the food, the burrata with prosciutto was extremely salty. The pastas were okay, not bad, but nothing special either.

atmosphere & service were great but food & portion size was underwhelming. staff were very friendly & attentive. the cocktail menu was not very special in my opinion. the food was good but nothing special or mind blowingly good. the portions were also small for the price. the flavors for all the pastas were balanced & cooked well but not much food on the plate. the branzino was good but nothing amazing. the best value for price was the fried pork with cheese on top. overall, i would not return but id still say its worth a try if you're looking for a lighter dinner.

Overpriced & underwhelmed - the focaccia was not crispy & over salted, the portions were very small but reasonably tasty & the whole meal was overpriced (100$ for 2 small pasta plates & one piece of focaccia, no drinks). The menu was also very limited. Would not recommend.

As a tourist from Toronto, it was our first time trying this out. Service & food were both was okay. Pasta was a bit bland to be honest but maybe it's just the one I ordered.
