Reviewers describe EVA's as a bright, welcoming brunch spot inside Royalmount's Foufou foodcourt with warm, attentive service and a lively, comfortable atmosphere that makes guests feel at home. The food is widely praised for being fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with standouts like chicken and waffles, pancakes and pancake bites, quesadillas, eggslut dishes, and the Mount Royal sandwich, along with good coffee and sweet sides. Many note quick and friendly service, consistent kindness from staff, and a vibe that encourages lingering with family or friends. A number of reviews also praise the consistency and care, with several calls to book ahead on weekends due to crowds. Still, some visits mention slower service during busy times, small portions for the price, and occasional menu shortages or inconsistencies that can impact the experience. Overall, EVA's is regarded as a strong brunch option in the area, delivering reliable hospitality, high quality ingredients, and a menu that offers creative twists while inviting guests to return for a shareable feast and a warm atmosphere.
I had a great experience at Eva's at Royalmount & a big part of it was our server, Gleb. He was super friendly, attentive, & made sure everything at our table was perfect the whole time. He checked in at the right moments, gave helpful menu suggestions, & had a really positive attitude that made the meal even more enjoyable. He also brought us free mini pancakes. The service felt genuine & welcoming. Definitely one of the best restaurant service experiences I've had - thank you Gleb!
Gleb was a fabulous, polite & professional server: he kept asking us if our food was good he brought us free pancakes on the house & joined in on some meaningful conversation with us. I would come back 100 percent
Missing ingredient in my food. Tried to tell the server. At first he was just like'oh, okay, sorry about that' & not offering anything so fix it. & then ask me'is it really on the menu?' with a skeptical & condescending tone, like I was making things up. Finally he confirmed it was on the menu but tried to make me believe the missing ingredient was in the sandwich somewhere, but clearly it was not (I open the sandwich on every sides - they just didn't want to exhange it)!
The sandwich was supposed to have American cheese which is bright orange so we can tell right away that it's not there. So i felt very gaslighted. Made me feel so uncomfortable, like i was being annoying to have tell there is something missing in my plate. So I just ate my sandwich with egg & mayo (quite boring)… & then finally he just brought me a piece of cold cheese on the side….which I didn't eat because the point is to have the cheese hot & melted in the sandwich…not a cold hard cheese slice on the side. & I had to pay full price. So so so disappointed.
I was really disappointed with this brunch spot. The food was extremely average & honestly tasted like something straight out of Costco's frozen section. For the price they charge, I expected much better quality & freshness.
The portions weren't anything special, & the flavors were pretty bland. Considering how expensive the menu is, it just doesn't feel worth it at all. There are definitely better brunch places around that offer fresher food & much better value.
From the chefs, the hosts, the crew & the management, I cannot say enough great things about Eva's in Royalmount. As soon as the doors open for business, it fills up quickly with hungry patrons looking for a hearty fixing of breakfast & brunch classics. Some exciting curveballs thrown in to exhibit a range of flavor & influence from different geographic locales.
The Chicken & Waffles served up unlike any other on the island. The eggslut is indulgence personified, & of course you can't go to Eva's & NOT have their photo-worthy Sunrise mimosa. Bagel & Lox? Got it. Sausage, Bacon & Eggs? I got that too. French toast? It didn't stand a chance on my plate. The Philly? You'll find it done here like no other place. Highly recommend. Go enjoy & show your love for the homegrown Real City talent. This is fresh excess at it's best.
Yes, it's competitively priced, but you'll find satisfaction & value at all price points offered on the menu. For the entire family to enjoy! A+ -KG

I had such a wonderful experience at this brunch spot! The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, & generous, they really made us feel taken care of from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, & beautifully prepared. On top of that, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, making it a really lovely place to relax & enjoy brunch. Highly recommend, & I'll definitely be coming back!
This was my first visit to Eva's restaurant. I tried the chicken Quesadilla. It was pretty good. Well seasoned & served with a dollop of sour cream + pickled jalapeno slices. The very nice waiter recommended I try the mini pancakes with fruit that he said is a very popular item on the menu. Rightfully so. It was delicious. To drink I got the lemonade which had a light fizz & a zingy lemony flavor. Lightly sweetened which was perfect. Overall good experience. Will definitely go there again.
Discovered Eva for brunch with my wife & wow what a gem. The service is warm friendly & truly impeccable. The food is high quality with sandwiches that are creative varied & beautifully executed. Despite being in Royalmount Mall it absolutely does not feel like it, you forget where you are the moment you sit down. & the coffee is smooth slick & excellent. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely terrible experience - this place doesn't deserve a single star.
From the moment I walked in, it was a disaster. The manager was standing right at the front, looked directly at me, & said absolutely nothing. No greeting, no acknowledgment - nothing. I stood there awkwardly for a full two minutes before I finally had to approach him & say that I had a reservation. Completely unprofessional.
It only got worse after being seated. We sat at the table for 35 minutes & were never greeted, never offered water, & no one came to take our order. Not one server, not the manager - nobody checked on us or even made eye contact. It was like we were invisible.
After wasting half an hour of our time, we got up & left - & the most shocking part is that no one even noticed or cared that we walked out. i'm so happy I stood up & walked out because I think I would've been so upset with myself if I actually spent any of my hard earned money there.
If basic service & common courtesy are too much to expect, there's no reason to come here. Save your time & go somewhere that actually acknowledges its customers.
very distasteful & rude staff, ignored me & my friend, we were waiting for 40 mins & was not even given water. eventually decided to leave because no one was making the effort to come & take our order or anything. wish i can give this place zero stars. i've been to the location at St. Henri & let me tell u: the food is so bland especially for the prices & the place is overrated.
