If we visit Montreal again, we will definitely come back & try different dishes here. The service was excellent I wish I had asked the name of the person who took care of us, but we truly thank them! Giancarlo was such a fantastic waiter, 2e had a wonderful meal & wine recommendations. Fresh local food, great ambiance. Would recommend!

We enjoyed our dinner here last night. We had a late dinner reservation & was very satisfied. Our server was attentive. The restaurant only had French menu & he described each dish in English lol. We ordered the steak tartare, scallops, sea bass & hanger steak. We didn't get dessert as we had some waiting for us at home. Also ordered wine & cocktails which was delicious.
Très très bon restaurant moderne, les plats son très bien exécutés, savoureux, équilibrés. Vraiment super.

The food…
Tartlette, Provençale
Beautiful presentation: mustard creamy sauce. The vegetable were perfect roasted over the grill. Nice dark streaks. Crust was crispy.
Beef tartare with smoked mackerel
The smoked mackerel adds another level to the taste. It's very dynamic. The flavour profile reminds me of ikura.
Halibut
Succulent & extremely buttery, melt in your mouth fish. The fish was salted, but balanced well when you combined it with the corn which was sweet & the greens.
Lobster with squid ink pasta
Al dente pasta. I really enjoyed the creamy tomato sauce. The lobsters were slightly over cooked, but it didn't matter much. I especially liked the pea shoots on top. It made the dish very unique.
The service: high quality & very attentive. Helped with the blinds when the sun was blinding me. Very friendly & easy to talk to. The food came out relatively quickly, one after the other. The whole team were outstanding.
Resto hyper charmant en coin de rue avec des grandes portes-fenêtres. L'été, tout est ouvert & c'est super agréable. Nous avons commencé la soirée sur la terrasse, qui est entourée de fleurs magnifiques! L'ambiance est super chaleureuse. Nous avons été servi par Amélie, qui nous a vraiment bien accueilli. C'est clair qu'elle est passionnée par ce qu'elle fait & elle connaît très bien ses vins! Elle nous a super bien conseillé 🤩 La nourriture est divine! Nous avons commencé par des huîtres, puis pris les tomates ancestrales & le tartare de boeuf. Ensuite, nous avons partagé un tataki de thon de la Gaspésie & les Paccheri Neri au homard. Tout était délicieux!! Je vous recommande vraiment d'aller manger dans ce beau & bon restaurant de quartier!! Vous allez y vivre une très belle expérience! 😊
Une magnifique découverte! La fraîcheur des plats est remarquable, chaque ingrédient met en valeur la qualité du terroir. J'apprécie énormément que le restaurant collabore avec des entreprises locales. On sent que chaque assiette raconte une histoire de proximité & d'authenticité. Les portions sont parfaitement pensées, idéales pour partager sans excès, ce qui rend le moment encore plus convivial. C'est un vrai bonheur en bouche du début à la fin. Un endroit où l'on repart le coeur & l'estomac comblés!
Casavant earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand & I can see why. The poultry mousse stuffed morels are the kind of dish an inspector would notice & the tender hangar steak with whelks & fiddleheads was an utter delight, if a bit small as a portion size.
Special mention for Casavant's divine twist on the classic profiterole, replacing the cream with rhubarb & ricotta.
Slight hiccup with the paccheri neri (tube-shaped pasta made with black squid ink) served with lobster, pea leaves, & tomato bisque. The bisque needed something, maybe more garlic or seasoning to elevate the dish to where it belongs.
Bib Gourmands are awarded to restaurants that offer what's deemed as good value, & $135 for 2 before drinks, tax, & tip is not too shabby for elevated brasserie appetizers, main dishes, & a shared dessert featuring sought-after in-season ingredients.
Nice wine list too. They even have piquette.
Dress up a little if you want, but not too much. Service is elegant, warm, friendly.
