Duck, Beef, Scallops & More ❤? What more can you really ask for then this?!

So I'm seriously kicking myself on this one. Probably the best meal I've had in 2026 to date. & it's crazy because here at @casavantmontreal, it's not like they are trying to reinvent the wheel here! But, with that said what they do server, is absolutely top notch of some of the best I've had.

So I have to start off by saying a pan sauce, can make or break a dish. Here both the sauce for the Duck & the Hanger Steak dish we got, freaking took me to another level. The duck was perfectly cooked, not chewy at all! Crispy Duck rendered skin & sliced to perfection. With a couple hearty radishes & lightly pickled veg, 10/10 banger. The Hanger Steak was really freaking mind blowing tho. Not only did they cook this thing perfect, while still being able to get a decent sear. But the sauce... Holy smokes! What a absolute show stopper. Paired so well with the delicate Chanterelles & perfectly cooked zucchini. Topped with a brown butter foam 100/10 FOODGASM 💦!

We also got the fan favourites that have been on the menu since they've opened on & off. Fresh to death Scallops with a Chorizo De Pascal topping. I think one of the best scallops dishes I've had in my life. So refreshing, super tender, perfectly seasoned, every element belongs there. Top 3 of all time for me for sure. Even the Beef tartare dish was taken to another level with the smoked mackerel sauce that took us to the moon. Bringing serf & turf to new heights!

I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a good time, fantastic meal & attentive servive experiance! Tell your friends, your family & whoever will listen, this needs to be on your list to go visite yesterday!

We had a lovely dinner at Casavant! The atmosphere was intimate & our seat at the bar afforded us great conversation with the bartender. She shared recommendations from the menu, wine pairings & other recommendations about the city as we were visiting. The food lived up to our expectations. We especially enjoyed the beef tartare, halibut & steak! Highly recommend & we look forward to visiting again the next time we're in Montréal!

My friend & I went last night with our teenage sons. We all loved the experience. The food was exceptional, unique pairings of things that may not always go together, but were out of this world. Loved the beef tartare, tomato/sardine combination, duck, seabass, hangar steak. Pretty much everything we ate. I think the service especially stood out. The kitchen was slammed & our mains took longer to get to us. We were not in a rush but it was nice that that waitstaff acknowledged it & comped our dessert. An unexpected, yet thoughtfful gesture that goes a long way.

Great food & service. The sauce for the steak was very rich & amazing. The lobster pasta was also bursting with seafood flavour. The favourite for the table was the beef tartare- a must try.

What a gem of a restaurant! The appetizers were delicious. We had the scallops & the beef tartare as appetizers; then duck & the sea bass for mains. All the dishes were amazing but our favorite was the scallops - we could have had 2 more orders! Had just enough room left to share the maple cake dessert :)

Top-5 beef tartare from a tartare lover. Top-notch ingredients across the board & some well-curated dishes/drinks. Small menu, small spot, but lively. I'm solo at the bar with dates behind me & a group of 10 to my right - all vibes are valid. Arrived underdressed after a day at the park & was treated with nothing but smiles.

Expérience culinaire incroyable!! Dans les tops restos à MTL sans équivoque! Les pétoncles sont décadentes & mentions spéciales pour les huîtres & le tartare de boeuf aussi. Juste wow!!

Repas de fête tout bonnement incroyable. Meilleur tartare de ma vie, onglet magnifique, les pâtes au sanglier & le parfais de fois gras de madame étaient de toute aussi haute volée.
Accueil adorable, je mentionne a demi mot que c'est la fête de ma femme & on nous mets une bougie sur le dessert, si simple attention qui résume le soin du détail de cette magnifique enseigne.

Interesting menu, everything we tried was really nicely presented & tasty. The tartare with smoked mackerel was simply delicious. Nice wine discovery too. 👍
