My friend & I went last night with our teenage sons. We all loved the experience. The food was exceptional, unique pairings of things that may not always go together, but were out of this world. Loved the beef tartare, tomato/sardine combination, duck, seabass, hangar steak. Pretty much everything we ate. I think the service especially stood out. The kitchen was slammed & our mains took longer to get to us. We were not in a rush but it was nice that that waitstaff acknowledged it & comped our dessert. An unexpected, yet thoughtfful gesture that goes a long way.

Really loved our experience here. The staff was friendly & helpful & very welcoming.

The food was fantastic. Not really much to find fault with. The standout was the Sea Bass. Perfectly cooked & the buttery lemon sauce complemented the fish to a T.

Vibe was great. Not at all pretentious & feels like a spot where the neighbourhood comes to hang out.

Looking forward to going back.

Une expérience absolument mémorable. Tout était parfait, de l'ambiance chaleureuse créée par la petite bougie sur la table jusqu'à la finesse incroyable des assiettes.

La présentation des plats est digne d'un grand art. J'ai été particulièrement impressionné par le travail sur les textures, notamment avec les asperges parfaitement cuites & la sauce riche qui accompagnait la viande. C'est rare de trouver une telle qualité & autant de soin dans chaque détail.

Je recommande vivement cet endroit à tous les amateurs de bonne cuisine qui cherchent une soirée spéciale à Montréal. Nous avons passé un excellent moment & nous reviendrons certainement très bientôt.

Had a great dinner at Casavant. we were a bif group so they accomodated us with a wonderful set menu. Everything they sent out was delicious. The Beef tartare & Scallops really set the bar high for the rest of the courses. Each dish server tastefully transitioned you from the last course to the next, allowing your pallet to taste the flavours of each ingredient.

The Price was very reasonable at 75$ a head, I felt like I got to taste alot of great food.

Atmosphere was great, the server & host notice anything to make your time better & offer to help. really unfortunate with the construction on the street but welcome to Montreal.

If you're a down for a nice dinner with levels of freshness & Quality ingredients, come try Casavant.

Note de 3/5 en raison principalement des portions qui ne suivent pas le prix de l'addition. Est-ce que la norme à Montréal est maintenant de se ramasser 500$ & d'avoir encore faim? La question se pose. Il faut remettre en question se genre de pratique qui ne cesse de prendre de l'ampleur. À Villeray en plus dur à comprendre.
