Nous avons passé un déjeuner tout en saveurs au Casavant. Le cadre est particulièrement confortable & invite à la détente, idéal pour profiter pleinement du moment. La cuisine est savoureuse, bien exécutée & pleine de finesse.
Les cocktails sont réussis, & les conseils en vin sont pertinents & parfaitement adaptés aux plats proposés, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable.
Une adresse que je recommande vivement à toute personne souhaitant passer un moment gourmand & raffiné.
The food went from very good to truly excellent. However, the pace of the service was way off.
Our appetizers arrived before the cocktails. Given the evident care & effort that went into preparing such outstanding dishes, it would have been more appropriate & more profitable for the restaurant to allow us to enjoy our drinks first & then pair the food with the corresponding wine.
Serving the dishes without regard to timing felt careless. It does a disservice to the people who put so much thought into the cooking & is frustrating for those paying to fully experience it as intended.
L'accueil a été chaleureux & l'ambiance, lumineuse & élégante, met en valeur une réelle attention aux détails sans jamais en faire trop.
Le bar à la grenobloise a été le moment fort de la soirée. Les sauces, un beurre noisette remarquable & un velouté de fenouil parfaitement équilibré, étaient absolument sublimes. Même si la cuisson du poisson m'a semblé légèrement trop poussée, le plat demeure l'un des meilleurs poissons que j'ai eu l'occasion de déguster récemment.
J'ai apprécié l'accord mets-vin proposé, même si j'aurais aimé quelque chose d'un peu plus marqué pour compléter l'ensemble du repas.
Le cocktail au mélilot était très bon également. Le service au bar, bien qu'adéquat, m'a simplement semblé un peu moins affirmé que celui en salle, qui lui était particulièrement remarquable.
En somme, une excellente expérience. J'y retournerai sans hésiter & je recommande sans réserve.
& si quelqu'un de l'équipe me lit : je serais ravie d'avoir la chance d'un stage d'une journée dans votre cuisine même juste pour apprendre vos sauces, quitte à laver toute la vaisselle en échange !
We enjoyed our dinner here last night. We had a late dinner reservation & was very satisfied. Our server was attentive. The restaurant only had French menu & he described each dish in English lol. We ordered the steak tartare, scallops, sea bass & hanger steak. We didn't get dessert as we had some waiting for us at home. Also ordered wine & cocktails which was delicious.
Le menu est WOOW! Diversifié & goûteux! Notre serveur était super amical & connaissait bien ses plats. Les cocktails originaux & bien pensés.
Asperge du Québec bien présenté & délicieux!
La pétoncle est excellent, je vous la recommande.
Ambiance chic/décontractée. Changement de couverts (ustensiles) à chaque service.
Onglet cuit à point, le bar était bien assaisonné. Les pâtes au homard étaient super bonne & les pâtes bien al dente.
Ont a commandé 2 assietes de pétoncles car elles sont impeccables.

Excellent service, both friendly & efficient. I like their cool jellyfish looking light fixture but I wish they had them throughout. Nice decor overall.
Great wine recommendation, Coretto was a lovely espresso-based cocktail.
Oysters were 3 & 3. The fleshy ones were delicious, but the smaller ones were tasteless. Loved the mignonette, wasn't the typical one.
Terrine special was good, but poorly presented. Loved how spicy the mustard was, & the apricot was nice as well.
Scallops were nice, but was expecting more than what amounted to chorizo powder, bits would have worked better I think.
Lamb saddle was delicious & full flavour but a bit too salty.
Chou was delicious but would be better if the crust was slightly crispier.

Au menu actuel, j'ai bien apprécié les pétoncles, l'onglet de boeuf ainsi que le baba.
Bonne sélection de vins avec des employés qui savent recommander.
Le cocktail corretto est très bon, mais à garder pour le dessert pour ne pas étouffer les saveurs délicates des plats.
Personnel souriant, gracieux & généreux.
Magnifique salle à manger intime avec vue sur l'église.
I thought the Georgia was one of the most balanced cocktails I've ever had. It was so good & that night I had a dream where I was driving down the highway along the coast & I stopped & rolled down the window & someone handed me this drink. That's the vibe.
Went for a birthday dinner. Surprisingly not that busy for a Sunday evening in autumn, but we did get there quite early. Drinks are excellent. Creative cocktails, but also a nice wine list. Nice vibes, good windows, warm decor, good tunes, etc etc. Food was delicious. A bit on the more "classic" French-inspired side for a tasting plate menu place like this in Montreal, but that can be refreshing (&, honestly, why fix what's not broken?). Partner (alone) had a duck plate that was advertised as being for multiple people & it certainly was sufficiently sized, but not overwhelmingly so. Also split several of the small plates, including a leek tart which was amazing. Vegetarian options were a bit lacking when we went - only one available, unless you distort the definition of vegetarian to mean including anchovies - but menu is seasonal & seems to be more veggie-friendly depending on the week. Overall, would go back in a heartbeat.
Here's what we had & in the order that we liked the food: duck, fish, raw scallops & beef tartare. the beef tartare had too much sauce which made the tartare feel like mush. We also had the chocolate cake for dessert, it was ok but nothing to write home about. It seems like a lot of food but the portions are fairly light & small (except for the duck). Not a fan of natural wines so we opted for cocktails. In all, good food. glad we tried it.
Tout était excellent ainsi que le service : tartare de boeuf & maquereau, salade César, tartelette provençale & le flétan en pièce de résistance. Carte des vins intéressante, les cocktails étaient très bien préparés.
Delicious food to share with friends at a beautifully designed space - good taste all around! Service is fantastic, cocktails & wine 10/10. Could not recommend more!
Tout était exceptionnel, le service était impeccable & aux petits soins ! Les plats étaient savoureux, frais & minutieusement préparés. Le plat de pétoncles frais était clairement le highlight de notre soirée. Points supplémentaires pour le fait qu'ils nous ont pas poussé un menu st-val. La carte régulière était parfaite. Les cocktails étaient excellents. Bref, un sans faute ! On reviendra foshoooo!
I had an amazing time at Casavant. The cocktails were fantastic, & the food was delicious. The atmosphere was just perfect - not too quiet, not too loud, creating a pleasant dining experience. It's a great place for small groups, as you can order everything & share. Plus, the parking wasn't as bad as I had thought, making it well worth getting to. Highly recommended!
