Review Summary

Cadet offers a highly regarded dining experience in Montreal, characterized by its creative, tapas-style menu that features well-executed dishes with global inspirations and balanced flavors. Many diners praise the quality of the food, particularly the black cod and focaccia, noting the innovative and seasonal approach to ingredients. While the ambiance is generally described as lively, stylish, and perfect for dates or sharing with groups, some visitors have noted that the space can become quite loud. Service quality is often highlighted as professional, friendly, and attentive, though there are inconsistent reports regarding speed and responsiveness, and some guests find the portion sizes small relative to the price.

Ok. Certainly not as good as Bouillon Bilk.
Doesn't accept Amex, whereas Bouillon Bilk does.
Was a bit thrown off because I had not other form of payment... Would be nice to have been warned since sister restaurant recommended I try it.

Will not be back. Not bad value but don't bother... go to Vin Papillon or simply Bouillon Bilk instrad.
Staff very nice.

Went to a new restaurant in Montreal last night, Cadet at 1431 boulevard St. Laurent. It is the little brother of Bouillon Bilk. Wonderful tastes & presentation. Great prices & dishes made for sharing. Staff were attentive & knowledgeable. We left stuffed & happy. The sort of restaurant you can return to over & over. High marks overall!
