We were 8 people, each spent $70+ but left with 8 stomachs half empty, had to find another place for a second round. As you can see the food portion is too small for the price

Extremely disappointing - not remotely worth the price

After reading the reviews & seeing the restaurant mentioned in the Michelin Guide, I came in expecting a high level of food & service. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Montreal.

The food was, quite honestly, terrible. Several of the sauces accompanying the dishes were poorly executed. For example, the pepper sauce served with the steak had clearly split, leaving you tasting almost nothing but oil. The zucchini was practically raw, simply grilled & served with a bland, tasteless sauce that added absolutely nothing to the dish.

The jerk wings were probably the biggest disappointment. I genuinely felt like I was being served something from a diner rather than a restaurant charging fine-dining prices. The presentation was also extremely underwhelming.

I could potentially overlook some of these issues if the prices reflected the quality, but spending over $400 for a meal & leaving hungry because I could barely eat the food is completely unacceptable.

I've eaten at Michelin-starred restaurants, high-end fine-dining establishments, & very casual restaurants, so I'm certainly not expecting every meal to be a fine-dining experience. But when you charge prices at this level, there should be a level of execution & quality to justify them. Here, there simply wasn't.

What I find most surprising is how highly regarded this restaurant seems to be. Based on my experience, nothing - & I mean nothing - was good enough to justify the reputation or the price.

A very disappointing experience, & unfortunately one I would not recommend.

We loved it here. The food is really inventive & unusual & each plate was amazing. Courgette with chicken skin, Asian style fish & a mushroom salad; all fantastic. Great wine. Really lovely waiter who was spot on. Well done everyone!

A restaurant deserving of its place on Montreal's BibGourmand.
The fried sea bass was among the better fish dishes I've ever had.
Every other dish was spiced really well. Salt & heat levels were perfect. It felt as though each element of the different dishes served an important purpose, contributing to the enjoyment of the whole.
Dishes came out hot, portions were good & the server gave excellemment recommendations through & through.
I hope to be able to eat here again!

Can't complain - the sauces were a bit too overseasoned but the jerk chicken was great. Bread is worth coming back for.

I went here literally 2 days in a row. The seabass melts in your mouth, calamari sauce leaves you fighting yourself to not lick the plate, the chicken wings have you licking your fingers, the eggplant bursts with flavour & that's just to name a few items. Last but definitely not least is the dessert, I never heard of a Pavlova but that & the chocolate torte make you question if you ever had a real dessert before! A beautiful culinary experience in Montreal!
