Innovative, flavorful dishes in a buzzy atmosphere. The broccoli with spaetzle & the gnocchi with pork were standouts. Oh, & the oysters! Only dud was the tartare. Not bad, just boring.

Un accueil chaleureux & très professionnel. Une cuisine recherchée & très fine dans ses saveurs ! Je recommande fortement cette adresse sur Montréal ! Certains plats sont déjà entamés sur les photos, tellement la cuisine était bonne que j'en ai oublié de prendre la photo dès qu'ils m'ont été présentés. L'équipe cuisine fière de nous avoir régalés. Nous reviendrons....
What I like about Cadet is that you get excellent top notch cuisine & service, in an atmosphere that's more comfortable & less formal than equivalent high brow joints. Everything we ate last night was spectacular! The Beef short ribs was amazingly tender, melting in my mouth with a perfect combination of flavours. Even the broccoli dish was perfect.
One of the best restaurants I've been to in Montreal! Every dish was delicious, & I really recommend the fennel salad & lemon yuzu ganache. The service was excellent, & the price was surprisingly not too high considering the restaurant's high quality. I definitely hope to come back here again!

This was a dining experience. Small plate tapas style, the portions are perfect & designed for sharing for two people. Order at least 2 per person. The craft cocktails are amazing. Service was decent, a little slow but very friendly. Food came out fast & delicious.
We came around 9pm on a Sunday night for a late dinner, not expecting such a wonderful experience: the restaurant is airy & beautifully modern/industrial, the service was truly amazing & the food was creative & delicious (special mention to the grilled leeks with mackerel & salmon roe, & the squid in a divine white butter/chili sauce). Great selection of natural wines from all around the world. Overall incredible quality for the price (150 CAD for dinner for 2 with a glass of wine each), & a truly special experience.
Un excellent choix pour des plats à partager absolument délicieux, à prix abordable. Ambiance casual chic, avec un service impeccable. D'excellents choix dans la carte des vins également. Coups de coeur pour la bouffe : l'assette de brocolis & les croquettes de morue, mais tout était vraiment succulent.
Stellar meal. Dishes were on point. Good value for money. Service was friendly & attentive without being overbearing. Varied winelist offering options for all tastes & budgets. A little noisy but still a pleasant experience.

🧆 Une belle ambiance règne au Cadet où les serveurs vous accueillent avec une sympathie & une serviabilité exemplaire. On regrette les bières servies en canette & les portions qui ont diminué (pas le prix), mais les excellents tapas vous font vite oublier ces petites déceptions ! Ici, les légumes sont revisités avec gourmandise & les viandes fondent en bouche... En famille ou entre amis, le Cadet conquiert donc les coeurs de ceux qui aiment partager un repas convivial dans un lieu chaleureux.
10/10 would recommend this restaurant! We had an amazing time at Cadet, the servers were very helpful & friendly, the restaurant was very cozy & the food was incredible, these chefs are clearly very talented & passionate. Definitely will be coming back!
Ambiance feutrée très agréable! La nourriture est délicieuse & le service est attentionné. Je recommande de prendre 3 plats / personnes puisque les portions sont raisonnables.
C'était ma quatrième ou cinquième fois au Cadet & hélas je ne crois pas y retourner. Déjà nous étions mal installées pour 5, la personne au bout était très inconfortable. De plus, Payer plus de 80$ pour avoir tellement faim en revenant chez moi que je dois manger c'est un peu ridicule... Un plat de gnocchis avec 6-8 petits gnocchis frits & secs avec une cuillère à soupe de porc pour 25$... Quelques choux fleurs pas mauvais mais rien de spécial... une croquette de morue (bonne) & 2 drinks. Un service vraiment inattentif. Pas capable de nous dire si oui ou non il y a des produits laitiers ou pas dans les plats, ma copine a fini par prendre ses médicaments contre l'intolérance car elle ne savait plus, vu l'information contradictoire. On a demandé des brocolis, on est 5 à avoir entendu qu'on l'a demandé & le serveur nous dit que non... lololol. En plus on a poliment mais clairement exprimé des insatisfactions mais on n'a eu aucune compensation. Pas de réduction, même pas un petit shooter. Désolée mais ce n'est vraiment pas a la hauteur. Dommage j'aimais ce restaurant. Mais ça n'a vraiment plus rien à voir avec ce que c'était.
What an amazing restaurant. We are in Montreal for a weekend visit & had the best meal in a very long time at Cadet (our first but not last visit). Plates are smaller for sharing, tapas style. We ordered 5 dishes & 2 desserts for 2 people. Total bill with 2 bottles of sparkling water (no alcohol) came to $160 before tip. Every bite was delicious & prepared to perfection, & the service attentive, friendly & quick. The atmosphere a perfect mix of lively while still being able to hold a conversation. We will definitely come back here & highly recommend Cadet for a great experience. We had the following dishes, which I would all highly recommend: - Lobster & shrimp - Fennel & citrus salad - Scallop ceviche - Gnocchi with pork - Broccoli & spaetzle - Bread pudding - Lemon Yuzu ganache
